Wow, you guys really have come a long way haven't you.
Please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle until the ride comes to a full and complete stop. Thank you, and enjoy the rest of your day here at Walt Disney World.

Sweet! :D

the older tracks on the 128k streams sound like crap, but sound better on the 64k streams. Is this a problem with my internet connection, or is this due to the 128k stream being better quality that it picks up more of the static on the poorer quality tracks? just wondering.

it's because not all the tracks are recorded with the 128k bit rate. Some are recorded in 64k, some in 96k, some are variable...

could also be something with your connection, but it's most likely because not all the tracks are recorded the same...

I'm a relative newcomer, having discovered SR only about a year ago. But I don't know what I'd do without Subsonic Radio. My eternal thanks to everyone who makes it possible!

Nothing is in variable bit rate, the player doesn't like those. I convert those to 128k. Some tracks are even as low as 24k. Those are usually live recordings. It would be nice to have everything in 128k and above but masters are difficult to find (or someone using choice recording equipment).
I haven't noticed that a lower quality track sounds worse on the 128k stream than the 64k stream. Can you think of a track name that caused this. I'll have to keep my ear open to listen to the difference. But, that said, there's nothing I can do about the low quality tracks. :)

I hadn't noticed the upgrade since the last time I'd been around, but now that I'm reading this I do notice that the sound quality is a little bit better than it had been.

Due to the ISP issues the Scheduled Stream is at 64k again
