Favorite photo spot

Post by AKLRULZ » Jun Thu 29, 2006 7:50 am

Got a favorite place you like to take family photos? One of ours, for instance (and among many) is the Mickey sculpture in the back of the Contemporary resort. The best thing about that spot is the stand for your camera so you can do a self-timed photo if no one is around to snap it for you.

What's your favorite spot?

I love to get the Castle Anywhere in the Shot! (MK)

I do have a shot somewhere of my sis and I IN THE EARS (before they were plexi-glassed off) of that Mickey sculpture in back of the Contemporary! :)
"Hey, Look at that guy in the Goofy Mask!" "That's not a mask!" "Oh... Sorry Lady!"

They're not plexi-gassed off anymore - at least they weren't last year. Is this new? We always have the kids "in the ears".

That sucks! I mean that really sucks. We took our last shot there in June 2005 - didn't make it over there in December 2005 for a shot though.

It really sucks to hear this!

I'm sure some idiot guest fell out, cracked their head open and sued.

Okay, rant over - but it does suck.

So help me find another really fun place to take photos now the the Mickey sculpture is ruined. :x

What kind of sculpture is this? Can you post a picture? I've never explored the Contemporary enough I guess...

My favorite picture spot would be on those fairy boats on the way to or going from MK, with MK as the subject. Or somewhere near the castle at night, so I can get pictures of it in different colors.

My favorite spot in the parks is at Epcot right before you enter World Showcase.

My other favorite is at Poly on the bottom floor. Right by the Waterfall. We've gotten pictures there since I was a little kid.
Bloody Pirate!

Our traditional photo spot: next to the statue of Walt and Mickey at MK, with the castle in the background. Not very original, but classic.

Well, I called a friend down there - the back of the ears of the Mickey sculpture is plexied (been that way for a while) but the front isn't plexied. :D

For some reason I had total OCD over this!

We always like getting pictures made in World Showcase, with SSE in the background.

I like getting my kids down at the edge of Liberty Square, first thing in the morning, with HM, Aunt Polly's and the Riverboat ALL in the picture, with no people, and the water reflects like glass........

Which reminds me - we love to do similar shots when we have early entry into MK, Epcot, or AK when you enter the park before official opening for character breakfasts.
