Epcot does have plenty of room to add more countries. I'd like to see Russia finally added. The famous red square, and domes. Kremlin. I believe Russia was left out because of the Cold War and other foreign relations. But, I believe it is finally time to pay omage to one of the largest countries in the world.
What other countries could be added in the extra space?

A bunch of country ideas have been tossed around over the years, including Switzerland, Spain, South Africa, Australia and Israel.
I'd be happy with any additions to World Showcase, regardless of the nation. Drinking around the world would be just a little more fun!

Ah! I'd love Greece to be added! Mmmmmm... Greek food.... mmmmmm...FlatlandMounty wrote:African Nations have been added to the Animal Kingdom. But I think Australia might be a nice touch. Although it would probably fit best with Africa in the Animal Kingdom. How about Greece?

They have all of them when the food and wine festival. I remember thinking it would be cool to have some of these pavillions stay.FlatlandMounty wrote:African Nations have been added to the Animal Kingdom. But I think Australia might be a nice touch. All of those ideas are great -- I'd also add a South American country (Brazil would be my pick), since the continent isn't really represented at either Epcot or AK.kgmadorin wrote:A bunch of country ideas have been tossed around over the years, including Switzerland, Spain, South Africa, Australia and Israel.

New Zealand would be cool, too.

I'd like to see some middle eastern coutries like Saudi Arabia or Egypt. And, before anyone says it, it's not all desert there, and there are plenty of things they could do besides the "usual" stuffjbvenn wrote:All of those ideas are great -- I'd also add a South American country (Brazil would be my pick), since the continent isn't really represented at either Epcot or AK.kgmadorin wrote:A bunch of country ideas have been tossed around over the years, including Switzerland, Spain, South Africa, Australia and Israel.

I love that idea! A gondola ride through the canals of Venice would be so cool! Maybe they could have cast members sing "That's Amore." Well, that and probably other songs as well. And if a new country is put in, my vote is for Slovenia. I mean, you've got the Alps, the Adriatic Sea, and not to mention the potica!
Meep meep meep.

Brazil would be cool, but I think Peru might be better. There are a lot of Peruvian ruins that would make for a great showcase. Then there would be a place for a llama petting zoo. sound good to anybody?jbvenn wrote:All of those ideas are great -- I'd also add a South American country (Brazil would be my pick)

Machu Pichu would be great to see - though no petting zoos! Egypt, Greece, Australia, all of those would make nice additions as well - lots of food choices, distinct architecural styles or landmarks, movie/ride potential, yep - they would work for me.

Here are some pics of the new pooh area.artbaum wrote:Poor lagoon... does anyone have pictures of the new Pooh's Playground? I can't find it on the Disney site. (In fact, they still have the old map up with the lagoon on it!)
