Maybe we should convert the audio of these performances to mp3 and load them up here on Subsonic so we can request to hear Len90 sing anytime we want.Len90 wrote:I have not really done too much silly stuff with the pictures. I made sure to wave to the camera for the ToT drop, but that is about it.
As for other silly things: I have successfully sang "I'm a little teapot", "Itzy Bitzy Spider", and the "Hokey Pokey" at Prime Time.

Re: Silliest Thing You've Ever Done At WDW
I think my silliest moment is one of epic proportions, because it involves the coining of a word that kicked off the whole Subictionary thread:
I was on this fishing excursion with my father-in-law, and we were way out in the middle of nowhere on the Seven Seas Lagoon, and the bass boat is not equipped with a head (nautical term for restroom), and... well......
You all, of course, know the word....
Now if you define "silliest" as "stupidest, most embarrassing" thing, I'd say the one that really stands out is from our '07 trip. Mouseoholic and I were at the Hoop-de-doo Review at Fort Wilderness with a whole table full of our friends, and had just finished dinner. Mouseoholic had ordered a special cake for us (it was our anniversary) and when it was brought to the table she stood up to start cutting it for everyone. But she was having a really hard time figuring out how to cut it: it was a round cake, and for some reason she wanted to cut it into square pieces. So I watched her for a couple minutes as she started making a couple experimental cuts, didn't like it, tried it a different way, didn't like that... etc. For some reason I just lost it and snapped "What are you doing?!!"
Everyone stopped and stared at me like I was some kind of freak, and poor Mouseoholic turned four or five shades of red, dropped the knife, and sat down with her head down. I felt like a total a**, but the damage was done. Although I apologized profusely, everyone was a little uncomfortable for the rest of the evening. I felt like crawling into a hole and dying.

I think vacations can be stressful. You are spending a lot of money, more time together than usual, less sleep than is ideal. All that adds up to a situation just waiting to happen. It happens to the best of us and all you can do is apologize and try to move on. The mouseketinkling on the other hand...

Well, silly/embarassing- my dad and I always used to do the pose Steven Tyler does when he says "Wait a minute....I love that idea!" with his hand pressed to his forehead with a very specific gesture. We always thought it was so weird and eccentric like that was Steven Tyler's deep thought pose. We'd done it for years, and I was an early teen when we first started. Then I went with my friends and g/f and I did it once and I realized that the hand symbol is actually a vulgar one. I don't even think they'll post your pic if you do the EXACT SAME POSE as the pre-show movie for the ride. It's because the extended index+middle+pinky fingers with retracted ring finger means something bad now and distinctly un-Disney. I now wonder if Steven Tyler even knew this when he did it and whether he was like "Let's see if I can get away with this..." as sort of a joke. Needless to say, once I realized what it meant I stopped that pose....Len90 wrote: I have not really done too much silly stuff with the pictures. I hate when stuff like that happens. Even the nicest, calmest people lose their cool sometimes and if it's in public it's so embarassing. You feel like such a villain, like people think "Wow, he's really a tyrant" or "I wonder what he's like when people aren't around." That's happened to me twice in my life but never at Disney but it's still so embarassing.Mousekedude wrote:So I watched her for a couple minutes as she started making a couple experimental cuts, didn't like it, tried it a different way, didn't like that... etc. For some reason I just lost it and snapped "What are you doing?!!"

I do think vacations can get a bit tense when you put pressure on yourselves to make it perfect. Luckily we have been able to avoid any issues like Mousekedude's from happening. My way of dealing with relieving the stress happens to be doing funny and silly things. It really helps to kick back and let yourself be calm.
As for posting the audio on here, the site is for Disney Theme Park Audio and Music... my horrendous singing is not Disney Theme Park Audio and Music.

I would argue that it is. If it's heard at Disney, then it's Disney. Many of the tracks on here are live tracks where you hear the crowd sounds along with the music, so the onlookers are part of the music in a way and actually help you feel like you're really there when you listen to it. So think of all the dozens of bystanders who heard you sing.... if it were to all have been recorded, it would be considered part of the Disney Park Audio....Len90 wrote:... my horrendous singing is not Disney Theme Park Audio and Music.

Actually Len... Your singing and dancing is now a part of other families memories of their Disney experience. You helped create Disney magic by performing with CM's in the "show." Therefore you were the soundtrack for the Prime Time Cafe on that day. That sounds like it constitutes Theme Park Audio to me.

Re: Silliest Thing You've Ever Done At WDW
Silliest waste of time was going to three parks in one day searching for Mushu who apparently comes out in China. I literally searched for him for 3 years and finally found him in China but not one cast member ever offered that as a suggestion until the third year.
Silliest moment was in April 2008 when my Aunt and Uncle came on our extended family trip. They had to leave earlier than the rest of us and I offered to check them in on their flights but I didn't have the codes and the codes were in my email. We were at DHS and I was told to go to the Boardwalk to gain access to a computer (no I don't have a smartphone). So I leave DHS and I see the launch and I'm worried about making it because I know the wait time between launches can be pretty long. And DHS plays movie music out in the gate entrance area and as I start running, which I don't run by the way, they start playing Chariots of Fire, and I'm running and laughing because it's so absurd and I get tot he dock and the boat pulls away. So there I am standing with about 12 other people who missed the boat as well after having made a ridiculous spectacle of myself. Of course then I spent another hour going to the Boardwalk, then walking to the Swan and eventually gaining access to an open business center.
Silliest public Disney Magic moments was when mom and I did the can can kick with the Main Street ladies while singing Supercalifragilistic... I know we're are on a few home videos. There are tons of other silly moments because mom and I wear our "cast member" pins whenever we go so we get picked on a lot. But that's the idea. The funnier moments are when actual cast members think we are from another park or when guests ask us questions. If you want your own pin you can get them at Main Street in the pin shop or DTD in the Christmas shop on the personalizing side of the shop. At least that's where they were a few years ago.

Those were all fun silly stories jenhen! I can just picture you laughing as the Chariots of Fire music starts to play while you are running for the boat!
