I love your thinking. I know people would love to do it that way every time they go.packwingfn wrote:How about Choose your narrator at the beginning of the ride?elizabethswann wrote:Now those are wonderful choices. I mean we already have a Choose your own future at the end, might as well make the whole ride like thatelizabethswann wrote:I love your thinking. That is the best idea yet! I'd ride enough times to experience each one.

I have not heard the JD version but I love the Jeremy Irons ethereal version so much I might never recover from this change.
A lot of celebrities have wrecked/disqualified their voices by over exposure. I thinking here of Gene Hackmen and his Lowe's commercials or Sam Waterston (sp?) selling whatever it is he is always selling . . .
What's the guys' name from Frasier? Maybe that guy would be all right . . .

I really loved Jeremy Irons and agree the Judi Dench version lacks in comparison both to Irons and Cronkite.
I think Ian McKellen or Patrick Stewart as suggested earlier would be great choices.
For a female my vote would be Sigorney Weaver. She already does an amazing job w/ Disney's Planet Earth series as the narrator.

Re: hmmm
that would awesome if you could choose, I would also ride as many times as it required to hear them all!! I also agree Sigorney Weaver would be a good pick for a female vocal track, she doesnt have a high voice that would get on your nerves halfway threw the ridenapastoy wrote:packwingfn wrote:I mean we already have a Choose your own future at the end, might as well make the whole ride like thatelizabethswann wrote: I love your thinking. Oh yeah...good choices...I also have to throw Whoopie in the mix. And I know this one is odd but...Weather Channel commentator Jim Cantore. Love his voice even when the news is bad.
P.S. I remember when we lived in Florida right before Hurricane Charley struck. Originally it was aimed at Tampa so those of us further south weren't as concern.
They then started changing the forecasts and my husband said "We're okay as long as Jim Cantore doesn't show up in our area."
He showed up in our neighborhood...we took a direct hit.

It's kind of like Murder, She Wrote. I wouldn't want Jessica coming to visit me, either.napastoy wrote:They then started changing the forecasts and my husband said "We're okay as long as Jim Cantore doesn't show up in our area."
I'm not gonna comment on this beyond to say that I giggled. He does have a nice voice, though. And he's a nice guy to boot.Jacca5660 wrote:Jim Cantore would be scary! If I'm ever on vacation and I see him..well I'm going home right away!!

Jim Cantorie Oh no! If he did the narration a F5 tornado and Category 5 hurricane would nail the ball at the same time!! Dangerous! haha
He is a very intense speaker thou, no failing asleep when he speaks!
Not a bad choice!
