Do they count you as one visit or do they count each time you pass through the turnstiles? If the latter then I have attributed to at least 30 of those counts.

I love that Disney's dominating all the attendance figures. Just two are non-Disney parks.

I find it interesting how WDW's MK always crushes the competition. 3 million more people is pretty significant. Obviously a lot of those people aren't wandering over to the other Florida parks, either.

I am personally enjoying the fact that Animal Kingdom was able to crush Universal Studios and Magic Kingdom's attendance alone was equal to the three competitors (Universal, Islands of Adventure, and Sea World) added together.

Also, don't forget that the two water parks just dominated in their category.

In the interest of putting off what I'm supposed to be doing at work, I went to look up the 2007 numbers to see if 2008 was a drop off (y'know... economy and such).

2007 from the TEA:

1 MAGIC KINGDOM at Walt Disney World, Lake Buena Vista, FL, USA 17,060,000
2 DISNEYLAND, Anaheim, CA, USA 14,870,000
3 TOKYO DISNEYLAND, Tokyo, Japan 13,906,000
4 TOKYO DISNEYSEA, Tokyo, Japan 12,413,000
5 DISNEYLAND PARIS, Marne-La-Vallee, France 12,000,000
6 EPCOT at Walt Disney World, Lake Buena Vista, FL, USA 10,930,000
7 DISNEY'S HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS at Walt Disney World, Lake Buena V 9,510,000
8 DISNEY'S ANIMAL KINGDOM at Walt Disney World, Lake Buena Vista, FL 9,490,000
9 UNIVERSAL STUDIOS JAPAN, Osaka, Japan 8,713,000
10 EVERLAND, Kyonggi-Do, South Korea 7,200,000

Surprisingly consistent. WDW's MK is even up this year (er, in 2008). I wonder how the 2009 numbers will stack up?

Wow, from that list there was only ONE non-Disney park. That's insane!

I've heard that the parks are busy, but the general Orlando parks are not, and rooms outside of Disney are empty.

That was a good look at numbers from last year, Disbeamer, thanks. And, would like to see the numbers for 2009 also.
