Does anyone know if park music can be purchased from gift shops while visiting WDW? I'd like to find illuminations pre show and show tracks. It appears that these have been pieced these together from various artists and albums.
Thanks

I have the same CD that Jacca5660 has although I purchased it many years ago I don't know if it is still available. But you could call Disney directly and try to order it through them , I'm sure someone here knows the number to do that.

I agree with yodiwan1. I don't think it has the pre-show music on it. I really enjoy those tracks, too!

You're right, it does not contain the preshow music on it and that really is too bad because it's fun to listen to. However, in addition to Illuminations/Tapestry of Dreams CD, you can also buy parade CDs, Wishes, Fantasmic, and a bunch more. They usually keep all of the CDs together in several places.

Yea if you look in Mouse Gear there should be a whole section of just Disney music!

I wish there was a CD released from Disney titled "A walk in the park" where it blended all the background music from when you first walk into Main Street till you walk around the park...even if it was just 5-10 minutes of each background piece. It would be just wonderful.

Now that sounds COOL!! I'd buy the too!! You could play that at home, close your eyes, and just be right back at the parks. They need to do one for each park.

Ditto!!! That would be totally cool. Even if Disney themselves created something that was a DVD/Interactive Park tour with music from the "land" you were in . . . that would be awesome.
How did our ancestors deal with their Disney obsession before we had forums, websites, SR or chat rooms?

They actually have something kind of like that... or they used to. There were separate DVDs for each park and it had some (campy) storyline of being a day in the park with several characters, which wasn't great, but it also had a ride on the trolly car up and down Main Street with the ambient sounds. That was cool. I only have the MK one so I'm not sure what the other park ones are like, but I'm reasonably certain I saw them on sale still last October.

It was called uncle Walt and the Wonderful World of Disney. It was on every Sunday night and we waited all week, then it was bed time and school in the morning. Lord this makes me feel old! LOL How many remember?

I don't believe you'll find a CD with all the Illuminations pre-show music on it, at least not together. The music is by several different artists. however, you can find the CDs that all the songs are on by clicking these links:
1999 - 2004 pre-show
2004 - Present pre-show
