Good one! Watch out for the mets this year. The ballpen has been impoved and we still have santana.
Jacca, can you refresh my memory, I seem to have forgotten how soon into to the season the braves were out of playoff contention.... Did they even make it past the all star break?

We should start a fantasy baseball league. Looks like we have more than enough people. It's free on mlb.com.

OCH!!! How many games did Santana win?? Isn't New York where pitchers go to die? Minor league? Kicked out of BOSTON? Being a native New Yorker, I know people who have ran out of Boston.

Actually, the Rays won the division last year. And if I were you, I would stick to just trying to make the playoffs. Although, once the Yanks get there they should send ARod for his surgery. Maybe then they'll win a series!
....and I just read a disturbing piece on Boston.com. They have changed makers of the Fenway Frank. They better not screw it up! For anyone who cares (and I'm sure there are none of you) I'll post a review here Monday when I return from the game.

lol. He was 16-7 with a 2.53 ERA. Not bad for the first year and pitching the end of the season with a problem that was taken care of in the offseason. Can't wait for all of the mets-braves series this year. They are always fun no matter how good or bad the teams are doing.

Based on your current location, Jacca (Tennessee) it looks like you ran out of NY. Can't say as I blame you.

Woops, complete brain freeze on my part. See how I wanted to forget last year? The Sox won the AL East in 2007. How can the Sox contend with Sabathia, Teixeira, Burnett, and the rest of the Yanks stacked roster? This is the year...... new stadium, new team, and Joe Girardi!!!

BITE ME!! Now you sound like my family!! They still all live in the city! Unlike my oldest sisters opinion: I DID NOT RUN AWAY FROM HOME!!!
Here's the funny part. Even though I'm a Native New Yorker, I'm a life long Boston fan!! I'm just a much bigger Brave's fan. Also: Odd fact, I live in Chattanooga Tn. and they're a bunch of Yankee fans

! Go figure. Actually, a very close friend who grew up here told me when he was a kid the Yankee games where the only ones they could get. That was until Ted Tuner and the braves.
Len, do Met fans still Boo at just the mention of Chipper?

I remember when my son (now 15) started baseball at that very same age!! That's the best baseball in the world. Enjoy it as much as possible! Take lots of pictures and remember it doesn't last forever! Those were some of the happiest times! Just have fun with it!
Thanks and you are very right about those days being the best.....he is growing up so fast and I wish I could slow it down more!

You mean Larry?
Jacca, do you go to any Lookout games?
And don't be ashamed of leaving New York. Even Rush Limbaugh is running away!

I know it's tough to keep track of all the success the Red Sox have had lately. Even I have some trouble.
Since you didn't like my previous avatar, I decided to change it. Just a little something to remind us all of the greatest comeback in MLB history.
Cheers!

Ashamed of leaving New York? I think of my self as the only smart one in my family!
Only Hooter girls get to call him Larry!
Yes we go to Lookout games!! Where else could I take a family of 4 to a baseball game for under $35 including parking, food, beer, and trinkets! You also get to see some of the future stars of baseball and pros in rehab games. It's a great park that doesn't have a bad seat. It's also just a lot of fun!
