Night time seems so much more magical. To see all the attractions lit up at night time is breath taking.

The Magic Kingdom, by its nature, is magical all of the time. At night, it just takes on a special feeling. Lights twinkle in the trees, Tomorrowland is full of a neon glow, Adventureland is lit by tiki torches--it just adds another dimension. Don't even get me started on how gorgeous the castle is when it is all lit up.
I read on another post that the reason Disney is so special at night is because that is the one time that Disney can truly manipulate another aspect--the lighting. I think that is true.
All I know is that at night in the Magic Kingdom, all things are possible, beautiful, romantic and safe.

I voted for day because, well, I can see better. It does take on a magical quality at night that is different from day, but when night falls it's always the end of the day and you'll be leaving sooner rather than later.horizons1 wrote:Ok, where are the comments from those who voted for day? I also said night, but I read through these posts hoping to hear a counterargument for why day is better. Anyone?!
In the day, the colors are all bright (especially against a blue sky), the shadows created by the lighting of the sun through trees and buildings creates a playful atmosphere, and a community is created through common experiences as you see the expressions on the faces of those passing you. *sigh*

And then when you add all the Christmastime decorations to the mix, wow-wee!! Those trees alone are enough to impress.Peerless83 wrote:Not just the magic kingdom..but all Disney parks at night! that's assuming that all the lights are actually ON and not blown out. I know that we saw quite a few blown lights when we went down in December 2006. and I know it's a constant complaint of Decling By Degrees.Peerless83 wrote:Not just the magic kingdom..but all Disney parks at night! but, I digress. I also enjoy the atmosphere of the parks at night. it's cooler (temperature-wise) than during the day, and some of the colors of lights (especially in Tomorrowland) are amazing. Though, you have less time to enjoy the parks at night... the day is better for time in the parks...

I would have to say night, as has a better atmosphere and the magic truely comes to life in the parade and fireworks, however I do love the disney dream come true parade and the dream along with mickey show, so it was tough but said night.

As long as I am in the park I don't care if it is day or night.
I always admired the creative use of lighting in every area The imagineers are very good at enhancing the atmosphere using this medium. Haunted mansion has GOT to be done in the dark. The overall experience is so much better when you do.
So when forced to choose Night or day.....Night by a whisker

Would early, early morning still be considered day? Nothing like being the first one in the park on a morning EMH.
