Glad I could be of assistance. I do admit though that I pay for a lot of convieniences that other people, including my father, say is a waste. Like valet parking for instance. Anyway, I think even he would agree this was worth it and he is a tight penny-pincher.kgmadorin wrote:Thanks SO much, Club33! kgmadorin, are you still out there? It looks like you haven't posted in awhile, but I just wanted to know how this ever turned out for you. My family is going to Disneyland this summer and was considering giving it a try. It seems like most of you enjoyed it and we were thinking it might be the perfect 50th experience. Has anyone else been to the Fantasmic Gallery seating?

OH man that sounds good right now (mouth watering)!!Mike Pinocchio wrote:If the desserts are still there, try the pumpkin cheesecake. It's like pumpkin pie and cheesecake get together and make a baby in your mouth. Okay, maybe that's not a very tasty description...still, it's good!

Thanks for the shout out, Esmeralda! It has been a LOOOOONG time since I've posted. Been very busy lately (new baby--house for sale--planning a move), but I wanted to reply to your post.Esmeralda wrote:kgmadorin, are you still out there? The gallery viewing was wonderful! It's certainly not something I would do every visit to Disneyland (the price is also somewhat prohibitive in making it a nightly event), but it was a GREAT way to see Fantasmic. That night happened to be my wife's first visit to Disneyland, and the gallery viewing experience capped off our day with an extra-special touch.
By the way, the desserts are fabulous!

kgmadorin, congratulations on the new baby!! Good luck on your move and selling of your house too!!
Esmeralda, thanks I think I can picture it in my mind now. I am usually rushing to each attraction to get them all in and really don't pay attention to the real ambiance of the park, which I will from now on!!

From Disneyland.com:Esmeralda wrote:How early do you have to book to get in? I heard that you can only book a month in advance, is that right?
"Special Fantasmic! seating is available for an additional charge on the Disney Gallery balcony. Tickets may be purchased up to 30 days in advance by calling Disney Dining at (714) 781-4400."

When my fiancee and I did this for Valentine's '05, I had booked as far ahead of time as I could, and we were the second couple seated... best seats! front row, center... apparently they seat you in the order you purchased your tickets.
I would highly recommend it as a special occasion thing, or something you do maybe once every few trips (no more than once a year if you go a lot)... it's expensive, but the beignes are to-die-for, and even the fruit and cheese was real good.

Thanks for all the great advice, all! I convinced my family that we must give it a try. Now we just have to mark it on the calendar so we don't forget to call as early as possible!
kgmadorin, congrats on the new baby and all the other exciting things going on!

Thank you very much, Esmeralda! We've been busy little bees for the last six months. FYI -- If anyone would like to check out our family's website and see some photos of little Noah, the address is http://madorin.us Be warned, however, that it's still under construction!Esmeralda wrote: kgmadorin, congrats on the new baby and all the other exciting things going on!
Now, to bring this thread back on topic... We would definitely try to have the gallery seating experience for Noah's first visit to Disneyland. The reserved seating, the personal attention, the dessert buffet--simply wonderful!

My family has reservations to the Fantasmic Gallery Viewing at the end of August. I can't wait! What type of desserts should I expect? Everyone says they're fabulous, but I want details to make my mouth water even more! Also, how early should we arrive?

I've heard they now seat based on when you arrive in line for the seating... NOT based on when you purchased your tickets. I would ask about this at Guest Relations at the park, but if that's the case, you probably want to be there 30-45 minutes before showtime... when we did ours (with the old seating order policy) we sauntered up about 15 mins before showtime and were seated up front...
Oh, and as I recall, the desserts were quite good... fruit and cheese, beignets, chocolate cake and cheescake, and a fruit tort... buffet-style. Plus coffee, espresso, hot chocolate, sodas, and juices.
