My vote would be for the Wilderness Cabins. I wouldn't suggest staying there if you don't have a car, but I love how it is out in woods, you don't have to worry about think hotel walls, you can see little critters outside your window, and the whole setup it just really pretty.

I have never stayed at a MK resort...but I have watched Wishes at both Ohana and the California Grill. I will have to say that for fireworks nothing can touch the Contemporary. You are right there next to the MK. The only downside was that the fireworks did not appear to be over the castle because of our angle...but it was still breathtaking.

I adore the Wilderness Lodge. It was like it was a world away from the busy parks. It was so nice to be able to go back there and relax.

Silly Sandi, we're just talking about the MK resorts, not all of WDW.sandi wrote:Love, love , love the Boardwalk!!!!!
I have onlty stayed at Contemp, but after touring all the others I think my vote has to be for Poly. The theming plus the view - how can you beat that?
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

I have never stayed at a Magic Kingdom resort...but I have dined at Ohana and California Grill...both during Wishes. I will have to give the nod to the Contemporary for providing an amazing view of Wishes and the Electrical Water Pageant later that evening.

The wilderness lodge is not only my favorite magic kingdom resort, it is my favorite Disney resort overall. Im sure most of you would agree that the lobby is obviously the centerpiece of the resort. But its just not the lobby but the overall theming. I love the music loops that are played throughout the resort. And let me tell you one of the most relaxing things you can do is go over to the villas pool and lay in the chair listening the the music that is played in the speakers. Its obviously not the better of the two pools, but it is by more peaceful!
