There's a lot of snow on the mountains in California and with rain in the forecast this week, there will be plenty more of it now. It looks amazing when the sun sets.

we had that too. it wasn't 65, but it did get up to 50 for a couple of days. it also rained quite a bit on those days, so almost all the snow melted. then the temp plummeted 30+ degrees with flurries. and with all the rain, the roads became skating rinks.

stupid arctic air...

I woke up this morning to blizzard like conditions! So much for nicer weather, blah! Does anyone else feel like Ground Hog day everyday?! I'll be so happy when I can open the windows to my house and not put a millions layers of clothing on to step outside.

I live in mid Md and so far we've had very little snow. Just when I was starting to think we would get out of of school a few days early this year, it looks like we're going to have a big storm. Oh, well... the pools will still there for us a little bit later in June!!!

I live in Chattanooga and we don't really get any snow. I would love a little bit, it just doesn't look like it's in the cards for us.

We are getting alot of snow right now here in Rhode Island and I was really hoping that it was over since it was March but nope, we are supposedly getting around a foot. This sucks!

So far around 3 inches of that white stuff has fallen. My college has already made the decision to close. At least I get snow day out of this!

Just head a little East, my parents in East Tennessee are forecasted to get some snow. There was a little bit when I was there over the holidays, but it all melted by 11am.

As far as the spring teaser, I am not happy with Mother Nature right now. We have been enduring this cold since late September and I am tired of it. It is March, we are supposed to open our houses and enjoy the nice temperatures before the summer humidity rolls in. I WANT SPRING!

I love me some snow... But I live in SC, and it doesn't snow much here in the Deep South.

Of course we just had that big front come through- we usually get one snow a year, and it is usually and inch, sometime less. But yesterday we got 3-4 inches here, and it was wonderful!!!!

So bring me some now anytime! :)

Wow that is tough to do. Please share some stories.

As for this storm, we ended up with about a foot of snow and then the wind came and created about 2 foot drifts in some places. One of them being on our walkway.

The problem with Chattanooga is it's in a protect valley. There are tall mountains all around us. When there is a storm coming from the west, it usually splits and goes north and south of us, like it did this weekend. The mountains to our west take the punch out of most storms before they reach the valley.

In the summer we get storms (because of the Tennessee river) that get stuck in the valley and pinball their way around.

In the mid-west, the more it snows the less skeeters there are. So, let it snow!!!

As a Southern California girl who recently moved to Chicago, I'm firmly in the "it can snow whenever it wants" group. Despite having been here for two winters, I'm not over the lovely, fluffy, sparkly goodness yet!
