Disney has this nasty habit of not doing anything with spaces at EPCOT. I wonder if this is going to become one of those. Although I think it's location would lend itself to being utilized rather quickly.

I would imagine that some of the mechanics of both are somewhere in the prop warehouse. At least, I would hope. But then visions of moldering Nautilus subs fill my head and I'm not so sure...

My understanding is that the Body Wars simulators are being used to test a new Star Tours film. I'm not any kind of Disney insider, of course, I'm just repeating what I've read on the Internet.

The Odyssey Restaurant building is a very convenient location as well, but that doesn't seem to be used for anything but a restroom. Although, I do remember using it as a dinning room when on school trips; don't know if they still do that though.

I think they also have the EPCOT first aid station in that building.

Is there really that much first aid at EPCOT that the whole building is needed? I understand the closing of the restaurant; it isn't the best location so close to WS, but they could use it for something else like maybe a permanent EPCOT Center Gallery.

It doesn't take the whole building. I been to the first aid station and it looks like at one time it was an area used for offices. It doesn't take up much room at all.

It made me so sick, I only went once. The combination of the simulator and the .. insides of people ... *puking icon here*

I like the audio track, though.

They also use the Odyssey for the Food & Wine festival and for the Magical Gatherings. I was just there last week and there was a family reunion meeting in there.
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

I do remember Hans and Franz. And I do remember the pavillion. When I lived in Orlando from 2001 to 2005, I loved to visit it. I prided myself on riding Body Wars several times in a row. I love my iron stomach!!! :)
I also loved Goofy about Health. I love those sports Goofy cartoons that Disney made for a while. I wish I could find a collection of them!

I hate that I never got to visit it one last time. I was there during the Food and Wine festival last year, and honestly if I had known the ride entrances were still there, and some of the signs and stuff, I would have found some excuse to go in.

*sadface*
That I do not understand. I snuck up to the pavilion last week ( I figured, being a CM, it wouldn't really be a problem) and everything is still intact inside (I was able to walk all around and look in the doors and such) from what I could tell. Lights were on, everything... I have a somewhat blurry picture if anyone wants to see.

They use Odyssey for group events. Often times you'll be by and they will be setup for either like a reception, or meeting (rows of chairs, with a raised stage area.)

I've also seen it setup, durning the day, as a private meeting point/rest area for larger groups.
