I'm a new poster- but wanted to give my .02 cents...
So far we've stayed at Pop, POFQ, ASMu, CBR and hubby has stayed at the Dolphin and Boardwalk on business. Our favorite so far has been POFQ but next year we are planning doing a split stay at POFQ and the Poly.
We didn't care for Pop or ASMu- it just wasn't for us--- and liked CBR well enough, but wished we were at POFQ--
I'm thinking that once we stay at the Poly, though, we might well have a brand new fave.
We would also like to stay at the WL. It's so beautiful and "cozy" feeling there.

Belle, once you stay at the Poly, you will be hooked! My DH and I agree, that once you go Deluxe, it's hard to go back to the Moderate resorts. We can't always afford the Deluxe, so we'd rather stay in a Moderate resort rather than not go at all, but you will be spoiled after actually staying on the grounds at the Poly! It's wonderful! The views are spectacular!
FYI: we split resoryd on our last trip - POFQ & Poly, it's a pain to switch! But if your switching to the Poly, it's worth the effort!

Ooh- that's what i'm afraid of!!! Our next trip isn't until May of next year and I already have everything planned out! Hee hee-
We always rent a car- so what I plan on doing is taking two different suitcases, one for each resort- so I'm not driving myself crazy re-packing. I think it will be okay if we have our own transportation.
I hope.
Okay-- sorry guys to run off topic!

Gosh, that was tough but I went with the Grand Floridian. I just couldn't decide between Wilderness Lodge or Polynesian. I guess they are both tied for second.

Do you lose a lot of time with switching due to check in and check out times being a few hours apart? I have always thought of doing this since I would like to enjoy a few differently themed resorts during the stay, but have yet to do it. The time difference and the packing/unpacking hassle keep us confined to one resort.

The packing/unpacking is a pain, I won't lie! But, we just called bell services, they came and got our luggage and took it to the Poly. We did most of a day at EPCOT and then took the Monorail over to the Poly and checked in! After we checked in at the Poly and settled in, we took the Monorail over to MK for the rest of the night! It was a wonderful feeling going back to the Poly! So, really it isn't too much of a hassle.

If you don't get bell services to move you like boilerbabe said (which is very handy, I might add

), you can always store your luggage with the resort you're checking out of and retrieve it later. We've done that before; pack up and check out, store the luggage, go off and do something else, come back and get it around check in time at the new resort and move it over. You do lose some time in the move, though, but thus far I've always found it worth the effort. Then again, we're always moving from a moderate up to a deluxe. The other way around, maybe not so much.

It's cool that everybody likes Wilderness Lodge so much. I like it too, but it's too much like home to be a vacation! (I live in the PNW)
I have visited all the resorts except Caribbean Beach and Pop Century, and my favorite is Port Orleans: Riverside. I LOVE the layout of the resort. It's gorgeous. I've been staying at All-Stars for my past couple trips and I'm dying to stay at POR (or any non-All Star resort...lol...although I do like AS Music a lot.)

Riverside. The theming makes me feel like I'm back home even at WDW.

I selected the Villas since we are DVC members and we always stay at DVC properties, but I have to say that normally my favorite resort is the one we stayed at most recently. They are all so great just for different reasons. We just added onto BLT and that one is going to give the others a run for their money I think!
