I have to say, it's tempting to haul some cyberpunk gear down there this year and do a photoshoot. It'd be a perfect setting.
LOL The aerial shots are even more funny than scary.

It's kinda weird looking at the bird's eye view (or even directly overhead like DisBeamer's pic) to see 3 completed buildings (the 2 "T" shaped and the one bigger building), and also the areas where more "T" buildings were laid out but never built. It's also a bit sad that Disney builds places, then let them rot when not used anymore (Discovery Island or River Country, anyone?). They invest so much money on projects, then just let Nature takes it's course.

You could do a movie like Blair Witch Project. Call it the "Eisner Horror Story"!
lol i wouldn't mind directing that movie (maybe even starring in it) *hint hint*

Maybe we can do this as part of an East Coast Subsonic Meet.

That's icky looking! So can you see the unfinished part from the finished part of the resort?! That would sure be a crappy view!!! I would discount those rooms!

I think if you actually go to investigate then you'd see the unfinished part.

I wondered about that myself. I know there's a tree border around the lake on that side, so I wonder if that blocks the view? It looks like the first part of that video is taken from the bridge connecting the two areas... I guess you wouldn't have cause to go out on that normally so perhaps you don't see it from the finished resort? It doesn't look like the trees are really high enough, though. Maybe it's just not as noticeable
(terrifying) from further away.
Anyone who's stayed there who can weigh in on that? It does seem like horrifically bad show to have "water & scary buildings" view as a room category.

Yeah, but I bet they could milk it and raise the room prices around Halloween for a "scary view"....
Well, bad jokes aside, I haven't actually stayed there yet (but I can tell you in 16 days), but I have seen pictures and from a distance and they just look like boring buildings - not scary or anything. Most people probably don't even notice them.

With that picture added, it makes it even scarier to see how there are eight empty spots that were set up for buildings to be put up. I am also a bit taken back by how it is like two completely worlds on the different sides of the lake. And to think they even paved the parking lots!

I'm pretty sure I would. Any random noises or things falling over in the distance'd take months off my life.

I am used to seeing pictures of abandoned buildings as places that were once something but have outlived their purpose. It's really strange to see one that was abandoned before it was even finished. Especially strange that Disney guests have to look at it, albeit from a distance, when staying at Pop Century.

Very Creepy -
If you ever get the chance, River Country is still "accessible" - If you are ever at Fort Wilderness, you can go behind Pioneer Hall and walk through the ticket and entrance section to River Country - Water section blocked off - Why wouldn't they hide this better?
