We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge honeymoon suite in July of 1995 (we were married in June, but waited until the honeymoon suite was available to take the actual honeymoon!) I was raised going to Disney World at least once a year, and I really just couldn't ever see myself going anywhere else for my honeymoon. (Of course, my husband was just happy to go wherever I wanted to go at that point in time!)

It was a great place to honeymoon, and we are still married and I am planning to renew our vows at Disney for our 20th anniversary. (If he is still willing to go anywhere I want!)

Did neither, but we did celebrate our 10th anniversary there in 2004. Went to Epcot and left the kids with my in-laws. Too short of a trip. Looking back, we needed more time to see everything even though we didn't have the kids with us. We're going back this summer with kids so it should be more eventful. :goofy_bounce:

We honeymooned at WDW for a week. We stayed at the Grand Floridian, and it was awesome. I had visited the park many times before, but it was my husband's first trip there. Wow....that was 20 years ago!

WDW is a great place to honeymoon! My wife and I did so in Aug. of 97. We were the special guest in the Hercules parade at MGM. We were picked by 2 cast members and its a great story to tell!

My wife Ruth and I honeynmooned at WDW 4/93 16 years ago. we stayed at the new caribbean beach resort. we also went to the polynesian luau. I got wisked from my beatiful bride only to be toally soaked in MGM's naval attraction. we had a blast.

Last year we celebrated out 15th wedding anniversary at DL. we took the walk in Walts footstpes tour.(AWESOME!!) we had dinner at Steakhouse 55, Napa Rose, and Blue Bayou. We bought a character breakfast at the plaza inn. and we we treated like royalty. We had a GREAT TIME!!

Just found out that we are invited to a friend's wedding down in WDW in June - and even more exciting is that guests get discounted room and park tix!! (don't tell the bride I said that). It's pretty cool, they have their own personal web page under disneyfairytaleweddings.com. They have a choice for each resort category (ASM, Coronado Springs, and Grand Floridian. Looks like the room and tix are 20% off which is cool but means my wife may be getting her wish of staying at the GF. I really want to stay at the Poly but with the 20% off we could probably eat for free for the 3 days we will be down there. Either way, looks like an unexpected trip down in WDW in 4 months!! Woohoo!!

99Soulz, that's awesome!!! I wonder if the bride/groon choose which resorts are 20% or does Disney tell you?!?! Would be great to stay at the Poly, but if you can get 20% off, I would staty at GF and walk over to the Poly! If you stay at the GF make sure you visit the Spa!!!

Where is the wedding taking place? At the wedding pavilion or at one of the spots that can be chosen?!

My dream was to wed at Disney!

The wedding is at the Wedding Pavilion so that is pretty cool. I think the reception is in one of the rooms at the GF. They just went down last weekend (for the 3rd time!) to do the last of the planning. If I were them I wouldn't decide on anything so that we'd have to keep going down :)

I believe they did pick the 3 resorts but I'll double check, also I think I am going to call to see if I can get the Poly at the discounted rate. Would kill me to look out of the window of the GF and see the Polynesian being so close.

I know how you feel 99Soulz! The Poly is my most fav. resort and to have to look at it but not be able to stay there, would be unbearable. I would just call and ask, all they can tell you is no!

You'll have to post some pics. if you don't mind when you return! How fantastic, a Disney wedding!!

When my DH and I were there on our honeymoon, there had been a wedding that morning and the gates to the wedding pavilion were still open, we were able to go in there and look around. Just gorgeous! A CM was nice enough to snap a pic. of us in the arch that has the Castle in the background! It's one of my most prized pics. of my DH and I!

Wow! All those lucky people who got married there--I am totally jealous. We had a big wedding, so it just wouldn't have been feasible, but it would have been so cool.
Instead, my hubby and I spent a wonderful honeymoon in the romantic Polynesian. We got a room upgrade and a front seat in the monorail. It was wonderful!

My wife and I got married February 9, 2008 at the Wedding Pavilion and our reception at the Grand Floridian. We had 82 guests not including Mickey and Minnie.
