Food at Universal has never been a problem for me. Last vacation we went to Citywalk just to eat there one night. We ended up at Emeril's and it was hands down one of the best meals in my life. Personally, I have no experience with restaurants beyond the gates that I could recall, but the food on Citywalk is excellent. Even Pat O'Brien's has pretty good food (hamburgers, etc)

Where the heck did you go to eat?!?!? I've never waited more than 5 min in line for food anywhere at Uni.
The restaurant by Dueling Dragons was great as a matter of fact IMO, it was the best value I've ever had in a park. My family loved the food at universal! The bar by the entrance was really cool! I do realize that there are some people who think if it's not Disney it's not good.

The one thing the did get to me was the way that people from their resorts got put to the head of the line about every half hour.

Are you talking about that restaurant that it looks like when you walk in you are going inside a tree? If that is the one you mean, then you are 100% right, the food in there was GREAT!!!!

After doing a little research, I am fairly sure that the name of the place is "The Enchanted Oak Tavern". Is that correct?

I've added an option for those who have never been to a Universal park. Some of us are just too loyal to the Mouse (or are staying on property with no car to head over across town)

I should of clarified, I've been to Universal in Orlando. It's no match for WDW. I did enjoy City Walk, I love Margaritaville! I'm a huge Buffett fan, I wish Downtown Disney had a Margaritaville! Then it would be complete!!!

Yes that's the one! Reminded me of something out of Lord of the Rings or Erogon.

You mean that was the one. They demolished it to make way for Harry Potter land... I never got the chance to eat there. :(

I picked IOA. On some trips to WDW we take a day out and head over to Universal and while the studios park has some good attractions (Simpsons, Shrek-4D, Mummy) there is something missing when comparing to WDW so you sort of have an empty feeling, IMO. So, we usually go to IOA now since it's more of an amusement park with all the thrill rides so a good way to get your fill of intense thrill rides in 1 day and leaves the "theming" to the real imagineers.

Also, not so fond of alcohol being served in Uni parks. I think it has it's place in EPCOT and works well there but glad WDW doesn't serve in any of the other parks.

What a loss!! For Harry Potter, that in it self is tragic!! I'm so glad WDW didn't get it!! :D

Universal Studios Hollywood! It's the only Universal park I've been too plus I love the backlot. One of the highlights of my film geeks life is when I get to roam the backlot on foot! I love having connections at the studios and well working in that indusrty helps too lol! Besides as a film super nerd I'm very loyal to the Hollywood park because of all it's history!

If Disney did get it, they wouldn't demolish half a land (i.e. tomorrowland, world showcase, etc.) to make way for it...

The day I see Harry Potter in a Disney park is the day I would quit going to Disney parks all together. I love Harry Potter but I would not want it in a Disney park.
