Since this is general, I will add m DLR favorite which is the Grand Califronian. I was only 11 when we went and I still remember the amazing sight when you first walk in. I would classify it as very similar to the Wilderness Lodge.

My favorite resort lobby of all the ones I have visited has to be the Grand Floridian!! I love the smell when you enter in and the music played by a great band!! I really love the elevator in the center of the lobby too...just gorgeous!!! Will I ever be able to do more than visit....doubt it!! But I love that lobby!

I'm biased because I haven't been to WDW in about 15 years, but my favorite is the Grand Californian here. It's a wonderful place to just escape for a while, even if you are only visiting the parks for one day. In WDW I think mine would be Wilderness Lodge (just watch the way I request the loop constantly in the request stream), although Poly would be a close second.

Ooh, hard one. Umm... I guess I'd have to say the Polynesian. It's peaceful (unless it's crowded in there), and pretty and reminds me of happy times.
I have to say, I'm pretty happy walking into any Disney resort lobby, though, if we're checking in.

I actually wouldn't have said this one until I had to hang out in it for a couple of hours, but the Port Orleans French Quarter.
It is small, but I love the little fountain with the Mardi Gras coins and the little area where they have a place for kids to color- they put out line art of various Disney characters and crayons and you can go to town, and there is a TV there too so you can color and watch Disney cartoons. Makes ya feel like a kid again!
Since I am an art nut, and I love to be like a kid (and I didn't want to be bored while waiting for the rest of our party, hehe) I did color, and I had a blast! A bunch of kids said that my art was really good, which was cool!

I like that one, too. It looks really nice at Christmas.figmentaholic wrote:I actually wouldn't have said this one until I had to hang out in it for a couple of hours, but the Port Orleans French Quarter.

Pretty funny to see how you rank Wilderness and AKL near eachother. AKL is built on a similar layout. They are the two deluxes with slightly smaller rooms and a lot cheaper rates.secondstar wrote:While many are stunning, the Wilderness Lodge's lobby blew me away. Animal Kingdom's is a very close second.

Another vote for Wilderness Lodge here! It's just an awe-inspiring space.
