Illuminations vs. Wishes
Moderator: Moderators
Wishes was brilliant the last time we saw it! I would recommend anyone to have dinner at the California Grill and watch them from the roof of the Contemporary. The fireworks feel like they are flying right towards you and no one's head gets in the way of the beautiful lights! They also pump in the music, so you truly get a unique experience.

The Peace on Earth Finale was amazing. Last year was the very first time that I have seen it and I got to see it almost every night while I worked. At first, I'll admit I wasnt feeling too much into it because I wasn't feeling Christmas yet, just like when you hear Christmas music so much before it's even close to Christmas. But as the holiday approached, the Peace on Earth finale would give me chills each and every night.
I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha

I have to agree with you on that thought...Illuminations really does start when the preshow music starts, and it really doesnt end until the postshow music ends as well. Everything is just great about Illuminations from preshow to postshow!

that's why "Illuminations - an evening at epcot" is one of my treasured tracks. only with illuminations do you get that experience and variety of musical styles. Wishes may have more fireworks, but illuminations has the music and different elements (fireworks, lasers, fireballs, etc). And with the holiday version, the special ending ties the world together moreso than Wishes (with the different voices giving holiday greeting in different languages)packwingfn wrote:I have to agree with you on that thought...Illuminations really does start when the preshow music starts, and it really doesnt end until the postshow music ends as well. This was the toughest vote yet, I think! I voted Illuminations for sentimental reasons, but I love Wishes as well. I am so happy that they developed a really special fireworks show for MK. I hope they keep it going for many years, along with Spectromagic. Now if they would bring back Tapestry of Dreams back to WS, I would be one thrilled WDW fan

Wishes is the one in MK. as for your second question, this is not the thread for it.grumpyutboi wrote:Wishes is in the Magic Kingdom? Would you pay for the dining and seating for Fantasmic
