does anyone know what type of fuel the cars use? There is always such a strong odor near them. I am surprised the attraction is still around with all of the pollution am pretty sure it causes.

they smell almost like diesel fuel, which I would imagine they use so they don't have to fill them quite so many times during the day...

What is found in the oak tree outside of the Liberty Tavern, and what is the significance of them?

Yay!
Um ... okay. What was shown in the Little Mermaid theater at MGM, immediately before the Little Mermaid opened?

that, I believe, was "Here Come The Muppets". Back then, for a short time, there were 2 Muppet attractions at WDW...

Nope. Well .. yes.. that was there before TLM, but not immediately before. There was something else between them.

hmm.. what else could it be...? I know HMtM closed in Septermber of 1991 and TLM opened in January of 1992. that's the usual time from for a quick update to the theater and to make sure everything works for the new show...

There was something else in there for a couple of months, being tested. Not for very long, and not particularly advertised. But there.

Could it have been some kind of Christmas show or concert?
I have no idea either; I always thought the Muppets show was the only other show there before Ariel took up residence.
ETA: Oh... was it the Beauty & the Beast show?

Nope. Good guesses, though. I first thought BatB too.
Edited because I can't spell.

WOW I have sat here and read all the posts on trivia, we really are a bunch of crazy people! Having this much knowledge about WDW is mind boggling!
Trying is an excuse to fail! Just go and do it!
