Subsonic Forum Veterans: How often do you listen?

Post by subsonic » Nov Wed 12, 2008 12:19 pm

This question goes for people who have 300 posts and over. I believe you fit into the category of "regulars" who mostly visit the forums as a means of communication and a Disney resource.

How often do you listen?
After 4.5+ years running this site I find I go in spurts. I'll listen for a day or two every 2-3 weeks.

If you listen, which stream do you listen to?
I mostly listen to the background stream.

Do you still make requests?
I never do. But then, if I really want to here something, I'll tune into the scheduled stream and start queuing up tracks.

I'm just curious if veterans revisit the site to communicate, listen or perhaps both at the same time..

I listen pretty much every day Mon-Fri during work hours. And request pretty much every day as well. I am a stream hopper (kinda like a park hopper), I go from stream to stream depending on what is coming up on the request queue, if it's not something I want to hear, then I hop over to the background, or scheduled, though I really like the soarin stream when I am having to concentrate on something here at work. So I guess I don't have a preference over what stream I listen to, I love 'em all! :D

I love the forums and love to be in the chat though I am not in there as much these days.

I come to this site daily because it makes me feel good!

well, considering I am pretty much a "regular" here (as I've said before, on my off times I have nothing better to do than troll the forums), I guess I'll answer...

How often do you listen?
I'll tune into the station maybe once or twice a month. I have my own collection of WDW tracks which I listen to nightly (helps me to fall alseep).

If you listen, which stream do you listen to?
ususally the request stream, but I also do background every once in a while.

Do you still make requests?
I've been known tio request every so often. Usually only a track or 2. and only if I don't feel like searching through all my files to try and find that particular track...

How often do you listen?
Usually I tune in once or twice a day for about an hour or two. I usually listen later at night while I'm going through my emails and checking the forums.

If you listen, which stream do you listen to?
The first one that I go to is the request stream and if it's playing something like 2 hours of the Living Seas background music, then I usually head over to the background stream. I usually stop there. I only go on the Scheduled, Soarin', or Star Tunnel stream very rarely or never.

Do you still make requests?
Yes, but pretty much only when I'm on at night when there are only a few to no requests in the que and if what I want to listen to is available. Otherwise, I just like listening to what other people have requested.

How often do you listen?
As often as I can but I'd say about a good three days a week if I'm not busy.

If you listen, which stream do you listen to?
If there is nothing of interest in the requests, I listen to the background stream or the Star Tunnel stream.

Do you still make requests?
I usually do it a few times a week. Most of the time people choose my treasured tracks so I wouldn't have to. :D

Granted I know I haven't been around that long, but I do frequent the forums...so, by Subsonic's justification of 300+ posts, I will answer.

How often do you listen?
As often as I can, though not as much as I'd like. I used to listen at work, but they have blocked streaming to free bandwidth.

If you listen, which stream do you listen to?
I listen to the background stream and if I can, the scheduled stream on Wednesday afternoons (well, afternoon EST).

Do you still make requests?
No, I have only requested a handful of songs. I like instant gratification and the queue is just too long for me to have to wait for my requests. All the songs I have cravings for are on my computer at home and work so I can listen to them whenever I want.

How often do you listen?
I listen for a day or two each month. Sometimes more if I am traveling.

If you listen, which stream do you listen to?
I mostly listen to the background stream.

Do you still make requests?
Hardly ever. I like the randomness.

How often do you listen?
Not all that often. Usually when I particularly want to request something, or I happen to see something on that interests me.

If you listen, which stream do you listen to?
Requests mainly, but sometimes background.

Do you still make requests?
Rarely, but I still take advantage of the fact I'm usually on overnight when there are limited requests going on if I really want to hear something in particular.

How often do you listen?
Almost at least once a day, usually when I'm home..It's usually on, and I leave it on when I sleep at night.

If you listen, which stream do you listen to?
I mainly listen to the request station but I love the background station.

Do you still make requests?
Not so often, maybe once a month. If I tend to make requests, it is usually late at night when the queue is very short. I hate waiting when the queue line is 3 hours+

Well im just short of 300 posts, but then again i read these forums, post, and participate in the chat rooms on a daily basis. I guess that would constitute me as a regular also.

Here is my response:

How often do you listen?
I would say i listen maybe once or twice a week. It depends on whats playing or when someone in the chat room displays whats currently playing.

If you listen, which stream do you listen to?
For me it is mostly the request stream. I also enjoy from time to time listening to the BGM and soarin stream.

Do you still make requests?
I havent made a request in months! I have lots of my own tracks that i listen to from my zune or at home. Although there will be that one special moment or day where i want to hear something in particular.

With over 300 post being a regular, what does that make those of us who have over 1000?

How often do you listen?

It's sporadic, there are times I have Sub playing 12 to 15 hours a day 6 or 7 days a week. Times I only listen on the weekend (when I can use my points up). Times when I'm working on the computer and listening late at night or very early in the morning. Then there are times where I'll go for days on end not listening at all.

If you listen, which stream do you listen to?

Mostly the request stream, although at time I will listen to one of the others just for a change.

Do you still make requests?

Yes I do. Mostly on the weekend and very late or early. Every once in a while I will during the week, but that depends greatly on what I am doing and what time slot is open.

Thanks, my curiosity is sated. :) It seems to be a mix. That's good to know.

And yes, billville you're a regular in my book. Anybody that's in chat a lot constitutes being a regular. :)

How often do you listen?
After a year of listening and a little over 6 months of posting I find myself listening around 1-2 times a week. It is usually in the car through my iPhone.

If you listen, which stream do you listen to?
Usually the request stream, but I do need my Soarin' fix also

Do you still make requests?
Very infrequently since I don't have time to hang around and wait for my request to pop up. I plan on requesting more over winter break.

In the end, I come here mostly to communicate and talk about Disney.
