Sounds great with 56k on Windows Media player--I listen for hours on end and my ears never hurt!

it only hurts my ears when it's a half hour long track of various ting tang ping pong noises from the japanese pavillion.

It doesn't hurt mine at all. I do have my G5 decked out though for sound. I listen all the time at work. I love having it in the background all day.

Been listening for basically 3 days straight, have it playing at work and streaming at home so when i walk in the door, it's on. No pain in the ears, althought my wife thinks i'm insane. As do many of my co-workers

Hmm, to me it seem as if there's too much high end (treble). I think it's because it's at 64k

To me the music doesn't hurt my ears but the head phones do however, do hurt my ears after a while. Something like a pinching feeling.

I find that's it's only certain tracks. Usually the lower quality ones with only mid to mid-high tones.

I have yet to have my ears hurt, but that may be because I'm in and out of my office a lot during the day. Since I really only find myself listening for long periods at work, and not at home I haven't had a chance to have my ears hurt. Not that I'm complaining about not having my ears hurt.
