I don't hate the WL, I actually love walking into the resort lobby, I think it has a tremendous WOW factor. But, the actual rooms are too dark for my taste. We are more tropical people.rcpratt3 wrote:I Have stayed at Poly & WL before....loved Poly...hated WL. On my next trip I am think about Contemporary. I have seen them all because we always resort hop on our trips.
What is your favorite Magic Kingdom resort?

I've only stayed at Grand Floridian and the Polynesian and both are awesome. When I stayed at GF I had a balcony overlooking Seven Seas and a view of Main Street and the Castle... unforgettable! Um I just recently went to WDW with my parents and we stayed at Polynesian and that was fun as well - gotta love the tropical feel and the Kona Coffee and Tonga Toast
I'd like to stay at the Contemporary but for some reason it looks boring - even though I love California Grill for Fireworks dinner.
I dunno if I had to choose it would be Grand Floridian.

isn't the GF off to the side of the MK? It'd be kinda impossible to see right down Main St to the castle from that angle. Now, if it was the Poly, I could see that, as a couple of the buildings are in line with the Entrance/Main St...Akyriel wrote:I've only stayed at Grand Floridian and the Polynesian and both are awesome. I have stayed at the Contemporary and Wilderness Lodge. I personally like the Wilderness Lodge better than the Contemporary. I enjoyed the quietness that it offers since it is set away from everything. I know it lacks the monorail, but that turns into a slight plus if you want to have quietness.

This is just as tough as the other thread that asks if POTC or HM is better - impossible for me to judge. They all have their own uniqueness.
Poly - my favorite since it was my first experience down in the World. Nothing will come close to staying there for me.
Wilderness Lodge - a great resort that makes you feel miles away.
Contemporary - might be boring, or motel-like but an original that is indeed a trademark for WDW.
Grand Floridian - who would have thought that this resort would rank 3rd back when it was built. Maybe because it's too pricey? Does anyone know how this ranks in terms of selling out? Curious to see if it's the last one to sell out and may warrant lower rates but I am guessing that will never happen.
