It's a lot easier answering questions than it is to come up with them.

This relates specifically to Disneyland though Disney World was probably the same. It's a 2 parter.

What year did Disneyland abandon the small admission fee & book of tickets approach and go with the unlimited access ticket? How much was an adult general admission ticket at that time?

I don't know about Disneyland, but since this is a WDW thread and not a DLR thread, I will answer for WDW.

The ticket books disappeared in 1981 and the ticket price was around $15

I got the fact that this is a DW thread, but finding trivia that hasn't been hit on is tough.

I have since found confirmation that the ticket books disappeared at the same time in both parks and the cost of admission was the same.

And you are wrong on both counts, though I guess using the word "around" technically does not make you wrong. Sorry.

they were discontinued at both DLR and WDW in 1982. as far as prices, I want to say around $30

1982 is the year. The ticket price is much less than that - much closer to agingerbugg's guess.

I asked my mother who took us down shortly after the ticket books were done-away with, and she said she remembered around $30 - $35. but, she could have been mistaken and remembering when we went back a few years later. so, I'll say $20.

I don't want to draw this out too long trying to guess individual dollar amounts, but believe it or not, it is less than agingerbugg's guess. Try one more time and then I'll give it to you.

go right ahead, my friend. I'm not very good at asking the questions, and I prefer answering trivia anyways (just try to beat me at You Don't Know Jack or similar trivia games).

I don't know, I haven't met a person yet who can beat me at trivial pursuit. Here goes my question...

What event, if it occurred would bring down the power grid at MGM?

By the way, contingencies have been put in place to prevent this event from occurring.

I believe if both elevators at ToT were going at the same time which in turn were going at the same time as RnR? But yeah, I think RnR has it's own generator or something to prevent that from happening....

If I'm right, someone else can go...

I know this. If both Towers in the Tower of Terror were to drop at the same time that Rock'n Roller Coaster launched, it could bring down the power grid. I don't know what contingencies exist, other than to prevent these from all occurring at the same time.

annafab, you beat me. Good job.
