acp/joe90 - where was that pic of the train taken from? the angle seems to suggest it was taken from the TTA, but I didn't think it travelled that far out

Oh, and now I see a general photo with the trees, I can see it now. I guess I could only picture the part where it goes under the TTA, because the train goes under it too. That one spot of the TTA tracks is painted a quantized gradient (the actual term escapes me) from white through blue to black ... because the train would turn it black from smoke anyways. There, I probably just ruined someone else's picture.

Boilerbabe, you are not way off at all. You are correct!!

I dont really any other pictures to show you besides from a-far but it is on the inner-wheel of the rotating stage from Carousel Of Progress.

Boy do I have a story to tell all of you. Sooo after I took this picture, we went on COP obviously and there was a crying baby in the back to a well-full theater....so we got to the third scene (Halloween) and I guess that family decided to leave in the middle of that scene. Now the third scene would probably place you backstage in the Magic Kingdom...so the rest of the scene plays out...and ends...BUT we aren't rotating!! We were stuck in time..everyone laughed when the halloween scene played again and everyone was getting pretty cranky so a couple group of people leave now. Then they made an announcement that COP will resume shortly, please don't leave, it will resume shortly.

So the scene ends...and it still doesnt rotate so it plays again and by now, everyone was reciting the dialogue word for word and even I was getting sick of that scene and COP is one of my favorite attraction at MK.

So the CM once again tells us to not leave and says if you leave, the ride won't rotate, please remain in your seats etc. But I guess people didnt understand or didnt believe him and got up to leave and the other people are like begging for them not to leave then we all booed them when they did leave lol Imagine that...getting booed on vacation?

But eventually the thing did rotate and we were no longer stuck in time

Good story. Every time I'm at WDW I want to go on COP but no one else does and I end up missing it.

That and the Hall of Presidents and the American Adventure.

JS3901 in answer to your question the pic from ACP was taken from the TTA just as it goes into Space Mountain.

I guess that is what you call being in the right place at the right time

packwingfn, did that story take place on the morning of 9/21/08? My family and I were queued up for CoP for a while, watching the building not rotate and wondering if we should actually get on if it ever started up again... (which it did and we did and got through without incident)
