I like the idea of making our own reservations. Prevents the whole long distance phone call thing. I do hope that people can't double book on this. Although there may be times when that's appropriate (you have a large group and they want to split up for dinner) for those times I hope they keep the dining hotline so you can force the matter. We were able to do that last year actually when we were forced to book two tables for one breakfast because there were so many of us. The CM told me she made a note that explained the reason.
Hmm, looks like a few restaurants will always be call ins: The system upgrade will not impact Victoria and Albert’s Restaurant, Cinderella’s Royal Table, and Chef Mickey’s Restaurant. Those three venues will continue to observe the normal booking processes throughout the system cutover.

I think I've had a change of heart - in light of my last ADR booking experience which took place a few times over the course of a week, I think I like being able to talk to a real person. Having them be excited with me when I book my reservations is part of the planning fun for me. Well, I actually don't know if they're actually excited or not, but "this call may be monitored for quality or training purposes." I think I call Disney too much...
