looks like the boats are all colors, not just red white and blue. I saw some pink, some green, and a few other colors.

To be honest, they looked a lot better than before than now.

Hmm it's hard to tell but wouldn't it be hard for smaller children to see with the high backs on those? I think I agree with elizabethswann on this one.

I don't know.. I sort of liked WDW's new boats... low backs and all light blue so that the boats matched the color scheme of the finale room.
edit:
I saw some pink, some green, and a few other colors.
You're right, I think my eyes are playing tricks on me with the sunlight in the picture. Some of what I think is blue looks sort of like mint green. Although the dark red doesn't seem to work for me...

Are these the new overweight-happy boats that Leno made such jokes about?

I dunno...they look kinda cheesy to me now. I think I liked the way they used to look better than this.

Indeed they are! I guess I'll reserve full judgment till I see them in person. I do wish they would have left well enough alone with the theming.
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

its still magical! This ride brings back so many child hood memories! I think it is and will always be pure Disney magic! Who cares about the color of the boats! Enjoy the fun!

Yikes, I think they look a little cheap, plastic-like, and cheesy. We shall see, maybe these are just the "test" boats? It doesn't re-open until Nov. right?

Hm. Those are interesting. I guess we will have to see the final product. I'm not that impressed right now.

They are basically the same boats as before, but they are built to take a little more weight. And the track that they run in has been deepened so the boats can't bottom out, unless people get BIGGER!!!! But the reason they look plastic is probably because they layer the paint on like crazy. I have seen the guys paint the trim around windows and such, man do they load it up with paint.

Lol! They remind me those little paddle boats you can rent! Why are they designed to look so plastic-y? Weird.

I'll be going there Friday when it opens and I'm sure lines will be crazy but I still want to see the changes.
