I would like to see the people mover built as a way of transporting people between Disneyland and DCA. It would be nice to use it as a real useful mode of transportation. That way you could get on inside Disneyland and ride over to DCA while resting your feet. :)

Thats actually a really cool idea. But I'm sure would cost millions to build more track to DCA. I always thought it would be nice if the monorail stopped at DCA. But of course they would have to check tickets and so forth to make sure you are allowed to park hop.

But when you think about it, considering the space contstraints that DLR and DCA have, connecting the two and making a ride out of it is a really good idea. :)

I love this idea! Sometimes we want to head over to DCA but the thought of walking and pushing strollers the whole way is exhausting and so we just end up staying in Disneyland (not that that's a bad thing mind you!). It would be great to have the option of riding something over there to give yourself a rest.

The monorail doesn't stop at DCA!? But it runs across the front, right? I haven't been to DL, I am an east coaster, but I have looked at it on Google Earth, and it looks like the track crosses right through the front of the park. As for checking tickets, it would be no different than here at WDW when you change parks (or there now after you apparently walk to DCA). I know this is off topic, but please bear with me I am trying to understand this.

No, it goes right through it across the makeshift Golden Gate Bridge. It goes through the Grand Californian Hotel then arrives at a station in Downtown Disney, which is quite far from both theme park entrances. The station is right by the Disneyland Hotel.

Yeah it kinda bugs me that it doesn't stop in DCA. Like said above, they would probably have more foot traffic from DLR cause most people like myself aren't feeling up to the walk usually... :(

Isn't the entrance to DL like 250ft from the entrance to DCA?

It is a bit farther than that. I am not great at guessing distances, but it would be nearly half a city block away. We often will jump back and forth several times a day. It will be a couple of hundred feet closer after the rebuild
