Sweet.
OK, this will probably be blatantly obvious to anyone who's actually seen it, but that would depend on actually seeing it, now wouldn't it?
Somewhere in the Magic Kingdom is a easter-egg-type reference to an "attraction" that doesn't show up on any of the park maps (and isn't in the Magic Kingdom itself). The complete answer gives:
What "attraction"
Where in the Magic Kingdom this reference is
and What is the nature of the reference.
If people have more trouble than I'm expecting, I can narrow down the field in a few different ways, so if you need help, ask for it!
P.S. The quote marks are important.

I made it a bit hard, but I also made it two parts as I knew most people wouldn't get the second part (unless they knew where to find the info on the inter-web...). the piece I answered was also in response to the question I, myself, asked. so, as you got part of it right, you're up.

if you really WANT me to take it, I will... , but by the rules, it'd be your turn

Actually...it used to be the largest until Atlanta built the Georgia Aquarium. It is 8.1 million gallons. So...now the one at Epcot is the second biggest. Still amazing though. I love going to eat at Coral Reef and getting to watch the fish watch us eat...them. Wow that sounds kind of sick doesn't it?

I wasn't aware of TLS becoming second to Atlanta (or anywhere else, for that matter). thanks for the info.

Was it an attraction at one time?

Alright, first hint should narrow down the field significantly, and also explain the quote marks.
The "attraction" is currently slated to be permanently closed.

OK. Here's a shot in the dark.....

Is it River Country and is the reference on Tom Sawyer's Island?

So...when I first read the question my first instinct was it was the Wonders of Life pavilion in Epcot. My only concerns though are that you said it wasn't on any of the park maps so I didn't know if you meant that the building itself wasn't labeled on any park maps but was visible or if you meant that the building was completely off any and all park maps. Also I question that guess cause the Wonders of Life pavilion is closed except for the Flower and Garden festival right now. So really I have absolutely no idea especially where this reference is in MK.

Allow me to clarify this question a bit:
1. I said PARK map. I.E., Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. Heck, throw in Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, too, it has absolutely nothing to do with either of those. What other maps could it actually be on?
2. It isn't closed yet, but Disney has confirmed that it will soon close. Think! What at WDW is closing soon?
3. The reference is actually relevant. It's not like, say, some random thing on the Winnie the Pooh ride that mentions Tower of Terror. I mean, it's realistic, it's something that would have a legit chance of occurring if Disney was real life (oh how I wish).
Oh yeah, and both guesses are wrong, very wrong.
I wish I could actually find a photo of this for when the answer is revealed. It's quite amusing.

Pleasure Island is closing. Where there is a sign in the MK that references PI, I do not know. Anyone else?

Just because you guys have been having trouble with this one, I'll point out that kcarts is on the right track. It IS Pleasure Island related. Again, think of a natural connection between something in the Magic Kingdom and something in Pleasure Island, and you're 2/3 of the way there. I'll probably give you the other 1/3 for free, unless, of course, you get it yourself.
