Wispering Canon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge. The best BBQ on property. A must for every trip for my family.

There's so many places I haven't been!
But ones I can recommend are:
Breakfast: we stay at POR a lot (when it's just me and DW) and we are always able to find a good assortment at a reasonable price at the food court.
Lunch: Tony's at MK or Sci-fi drive in at EPCOT; Coral Reef at EPCOT
Dinner: Le Cellier in EPCOT Canada or San Angel inn at EPCOT Mexico.

The dining plan makes it all the much better.

Breakfast: dont really eat breakfast, but I have heard some good things about the bakery in the magic kingdom.
Lunch: Sci-Fi Drive in hands down! It was awesome, the atmosphere was fun.
Dinner: Coral Reef at Epcot, or Alfredo's in World Showcase (which is gone now....

My favorite restaurant on property would be Boma in AKL followed closely by Whispering Canyon over in WL. In the parks I'd pick 50's prime time in the studios and Cinderellas Castle in the MK and I can't pick a favorite in Epcot I like them all !!

We don't eat breakfast out at WDW. For lunch, our favorite is Liberty Tree. For dinner, Ohana. We always have to squeeze Biergarten in there sometime, too.

Table Service Restaurant in the Parks
Le Cellier/Canada/Epcot
Always great food, atmosphere, great service as always. I especially like the bread rolls (each one comes from a different area of Canada).

Table Service Resort Restaurant
Kona Cafe/Polynesian
Great Surroundings, lovely food and amazing polynesian carved wood on walls. Much nicer restaurant than ohana - food is some of the best quality and tastiest in wdw.

Fast Food/Food Court in the Parks
Columbia Harbor House/Liberty Square/Magic Kingdom
Great food, lots of choice of sandwiches and soups/chowders - My favorite clam chowder in the world (better than san francisco & new england/boston) - shame about Disney getting rid of bread bowls.

Fast Food/Food Court in the Resorts
Riverside Mill/Port Orleans Riverside
Lots of choice. Great if you can get a table overlooking river as sometimes you can spot an otter.

Best Restaurant in Downtown Area/s
Cap'n Jacks/Marketplace
Resonably priced food, great views of downtown areas from window seats, tasty seafood.

Breakfast: Grand Floridian Cafe - quiet, great service and excellent food.

Lunch: LTT - great food and atmosphere or 50's Prime Time

Dinner: Hollywood Brown Derby or California Grill

Extra Special or Celebration: V & A's - we usually go around a birthday or anniversary so we always have an excuse to eat there!!!

I ate at Citricos this past trip and whatever my favorite restuarant was before... it is now Citricos. We had a great server (which probably helped boost the experience).

Okay, since I stayed in Disney for 8 days, I think I can have a couple favorites...

Breakfast: Cape May Cafe. Has to be because I met one of the waitresses who knew us from two years ago at Whispering Canyon, her name was Red Rooster there. And Goofy was the best there.

Dinner:
Prime Time: The waiter knows us from years and years ago and I love being a trouble maker there
Le Cellier: Was definitely worth the six month ADR. Food is excellent and the staff are very nice.
California Grill: They really know how to do a celebration. Also, the food and view are amazing.
Garden Grill: Everyone needs to have their favorite character dinner!

I usually have breakfast in my room and enjoy more of lunch and dinner. This year will be different since I got the Deluxe dining package added to the free dining. So it will be breakfast several days. But, back to the topic...best lunch is a toss up between fish and chips @ Yorkshire Fish Shop (UK pavilion in EC) and almost anything at Flame Tree BBQ (AK). For a dinner, I'd have to say Yachtman's Steakhouse (YC). Great atmosphere, wonderful cuts of meat...a pleasure of a meal.

Of note for Yachtman's Steakhouse, it's a great place to celebrate a special moment. My wife and I had our 10th wedding anniversary dinner there last year. I called the restaurant directly and informed them of that. They printed menus specifically for us that had wedding Mickey and Minnie and "Happy 10th Anniversary" on it. The chef also created a small candy platter with "Happy Anniversary" in cocoa on it. It may have been a small gesture, but it was a nice to surprise for the wife. I can't promise you that you'd get the same, but it wouldn't hurt to try if you like.

Typically, food at WDW for us went like this: we'd pick up whatever was necessary at the nearest Wal*Mart and bring food as much as possible. A typical day, either we had breakfast at the campsite (Fort Wilderness!) and brought in sandwiches for lunch, (fluffernutter FTW!) or slept in and had brunch. If we were in the parks for dinner, most of what we did was selfserve. Table service happened a few times, but generally not more than once per place per month-long trip.

Breakfast: We didn't eat out for breakfast much. When we did (at least in recent history) it was at Trail's End. Good stuff. Personally, their breakfast was better than their lunch/dinner buffets.

Selfserve: Lemme see.... Pecos Bill's was good, primarily because mom <3 fries with cheese. I didn't know until now that Pinocchio's had cheese fries, will keep that in mind for someday.... <_< I vaguely remember chili on the left half of the Magic Kingdom, was that at Pecos Bill's, or was that in Adventureland somewhere? Nothing is coming to mind in Epcot except China, unless the Food and Wine festival was going on, when we'd pick random stuff (CHOUP!). Only place in MGM (hey, that's what it was back then) was the studio eatery by the playground. Animal Kingdom was Flame Tree once or twice, that was pretty good. If we were there, we typically did DisneyQuest's Cheesecake Factory around dinnertime, too.

Table service: This is where the list gets long. I don't think we ever did table service in the Magic Kingdom. Epcot, on the other hand.... We've done (no particular order) Alfredo's (Typically for my birthday, that was my favorite, so sad it's closed :'( ), Teppanaki (Brother Brandon's favorite) and Biergarten (we didn't try this one until later, Mom and Dad really like it). MGM was usually Hollywood and Vine, not many people know about it, but it's a really good buffet and if you time it right, you get a free reserved seat for Fantasmic. Animal Kingdom was never open late enough for table service (and I think Rainforest Cafe was the only table service anyways). As for the resorts, Crockett's Tavern was always enjoyable (indeed, we spent a good few Super Bowls there), and we always had to hit Ohana's at LEAST once during Wishes.

Snacks: Oh boy. There's the obvious Mickey Mouse ice cream bars. Mom and Brandon always opted for the chocolate-covered bananas. We usually brought our own popcorn for the parks, usually had a good 3 or 4 full buckets (those tall popcorn buckets they sell, we found them lying around and washed them). Baked potatoes were popular, and IIRC we found them in all four parks (Liberty Square, the Land, I think somewhere by the ABC building, and I want to say Flame Tree). Funnel Cake at the American Adventure was a favorite as well. But, I think above and beyond all else, CANDY APPLES. My word. Either at Sweet Spells in MGM or Candy Cauldron in DTD. Grab a chocolate-caramel-coated apple with chocolate chips and bring it to Fantasmic. Ah how I miss those.

@ kbken: What is Victoria and Albert's like? I've heard stories of that place....
