Help! Spoodles or Cape May Cafe?

Post by jd3921fl » Jul Mon 21, 2008 9:20 am

Planning ADR for 4 adults and a child (2 yrs old). I've found mixed reviews on both and can't decide. Any help would be appreciated.

Don't think you can go wrong with either. I prefer Cape May b/c of the buffet. Something for everyone and I would usually sample everything! If you have someone who isn't all that fond of shellfish, Spoodles might be your better choice.

Definitely Cape May Cafe. The characters there are amazing... especially Goofy. The characters are very personable and have a great time with you. I have found Spoodles to be hit or miss and personally didn't like it. If you want a buffet and don't want characters, you can add Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club. However, Cape May is my favorite of the three and let me show you why. Just make sure to make the ADR for around 10:15.

Add another vote for Cape May. 1) AYCE! 2) Good variety...From ribs to seafood usually something for everybody.

Thanks everyone. Forgot to add that it was for dinner. I do wish that Disney would come up with a way to balance out the reservations and walk ups. It seems rather silly to have to decide so far in advance what you want to eat on a certain day/nite. I know that they are re-doing the reservations system but not sure if its actually improving other that going "on line".

Trus me the ADR's are not as bad as you think. It helps to cut down on the extremely long wait times you used to have before being seated. The longest we waited for a table was around 15-20 minutes and that is because we didn't want the booth that they were going to be putting us in. Also, it helps to guarantee that you will be able to get into certain restaurants like the California Grill, Le Cellier, and almost every other place on the property.

I guess I am being too innocent then. No matter what, there will always be loopholes, and people will find them and use them to their advantage.
