Most memorable smell

Not really my favorite but the most memorable smell would be the chili dog on Stich's great escape.

R & C Smell

Post by sunny34 » Jul Mon 21, 2008 1:56 pm

Second to that is the smell of the Rose and Crown. I hate the smell of fish, but the combination of that and stale beer/alcohol makes me happy.[/quote]

The Rose & Crown is my favorite place in all of Disney. I love that smell! :mickey3:

I don't LIKE the smell of Rome burning on SE, but it makes me happy because it reminds me of my first ride experience in WDW. The smell of the water based rides too, and the smells on Soarin' and Mickey's PhilharMagic.

Also, a bit backwards, but the smell of cinnamon waffles reminds me of WDW for some unknown reason.

The dank smell of the pirates queue, turkey legs in Frontierland, and the Main Street Bakery.

I agree with all the scents that everyone has talked about.

For me...the best though is Rome Burning. My first trip to WDW was when I was 4 years old. My second trip was 10 years later. I was having fun then but really not feeling the Disney Magic that I was hoping for. That all changed when we rode SSE and we got to Rome Burning. All at once, everything came back to me from when I was 4 years old. I could feel the Disney Magic again...all thanks to that one smell. I make it a point to ride SSE at least once every time I go back just to get that rush again. :D

Rome Burning is always a highlight. I often wondered if a company like Yankee Candle would consider a limited edition set of "WDW Smell Candles". You could have Rome is Burning, Musty Pirates of the Carribean, Frontierland Turkey Leg, Main Street USA Tollhouse Cookie, Horizons Orange Grove, and the list could go on and on.

I would buy them out of Spaceship Earth Rome Burning and maybe Horizons' Orange Grove.

The ones I can recall vividly are the burning of Rome on SSE, the pine trees and orange blossoms on Soarin', and the smell of BBQ when walking past Flame Tree in AK.
Are we there yet? When can we go back?

I don't know what's worse, the anticipation of going or the withdrawals after getting home.

Rome burning is good, I also love Horizons, and Pirates. Living With The Land has a good musty smell. I was at a wedding reception last night that reminded me of the American Adventure. My Grandma's attic always smelled like Peter Pan. I smelled something the other day that smelled like Mitsukoshi. Mama Melrose at Hollywood Studios alway smells great. The Contemporary has a unique smell that I always love because my baby bro works there. But, the best smell is the smell of Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge.
