Hotels?

Post by earningmyfins » Jul Sat 12, 2008 10:37 pm

What hotel do you like the best and why?

I personally love the Grand Floridian or the Beach Club. Both give me a warm and cozy feeling. I love the beautiful lobby at the Grand Floridian, I like to just sit down and listen to the Grand band play all day.
I also love the old nautical feel to the Beach Club. It makes me want to go to the beach and put my feet in the sand.

I love the feeling.

How about you?

I would have to say the Wilderness Lodge, Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach club with my preference going to Yacht. This is based strongly on my opinions from staying at all of these resorts. I like the activity of the boardwalk a lot and it's location, but have had issues with that hotel. I like the Wilderness Lodge because of it's quiet location and lobby with the 7 floor ceiling. However, the pool was too small for a deluxe. I like the Yacht and Beach for their location, pool and breakfast locations. The reason I prefer the Yacht is that it is a lot quieter than the beach club and I really don't like walking in to a hectic lobby.

I know how you feel with the sand pool. I just came back from the Yacht and wish I could go down that slide just one more time.

Boardwalk for me. I like the proximity to EPCOT as well as four other resorts with plenty to choose from as far as food and night time things to do. I also like the Polynesian. The atmosphere there is fantastic.

Boardwalk for me too. I love the overall atmosphere and the turn-of-the-century music that they play. I also like how the "quiet pool" is tucked away in a garden setting - it's so relaxing.

I'm sure I've posted to a thread similar to this before....

I love All Star Movies/Music.
Probably because of all the reasons most other people hate them

The hustle and bustle and the larger than life, in your face, theming :mickey:
It is a bit of a journey into MK but it is a journey I enjoy. (and you are not far so from off site dining)

The DW and I always stay there when the UCA Cheerleading Nationals are on.
There are teams practicing in all over the resort and (as they have all qualified for the Nationals) they are all pretty AWSOME. :D

When you are walking along the first floor walkway and someone appears on the other side of the handrail waves at you then dissapears it is a little grinworthy :o

I love the chaos :P

I have to say OKW, it truely is my "home" away from home.

We like to call the Poly "home"! Hands down this is our most favorite resort! My parent's started taking me to Disney at age 3 and we stayed at the Poly. It's the most gorgeous resort, you feel like you're in Hawaii, the grounds are so lush and the smells are amazing from all the foliage. The views are fantastic, you can see the MK from the beach. It also has a special place in our hearts b/c my DH and I stayed there for our honeymoon! The poly also has the largest rooms of any Disney resort! 8-) We hope to return "home" soon.

Yacht Club for location and Stormalong Bay, but AKL is my all time favorite themed hotel at Disney.

We love Pop Century. It's a walk down memory lane for hubby and I and we get a kick out of having to explain things to the kids when they say "What's that?".

I love Port Orleans Riverside. I like the atmosphere and the location is only a short bus ride to most of the parks and a short boat ride to DD. I really do feel like I'm going "home" when I stay there.

Wilderness Lodge.

I'd like to try out Fort Wilderness for the "homes away from home" though sometime.

We've only been to POP.... so it's the best one for the value!

Now, I would love to stay at Wilderness Lodge, Poly, & Animal Kingdom.
