Disney "Smells"

i found a candle that reminds me of "Soarin" its a mix of Pine and Orange..oh its awesome. they used to carry it at Bed Bath and Beyond, sometimes you can find it there still. but you can order it directly from the company too (which is what i do) the candle is: Holiday Sparkle made by Colonial Candle. call them up and ask them to ship you a small voltive size one to try. Tell them your friend told you about them having it at bed bath and beyond but they were sold out. the company is very nice. they sent me free voltive samples (but i did have a purchace coming from them too.) http://www.trackadvertisingroi.com/clie ... candle.htmluv2cthemouse wrote:I love love love the smell of the "pie" while watching Philharmagic. I havebeen trying to find a candle that smells like that.
I have a creamy hazelnut candle that smells EXACTLY like the gingerbread carousel at the Beach Club during Christmas. I will never burn that candle. I love picking it up and just smelling it. I keep it on my desk.

That is a great thread because the smell of Disney can trigger so many memories!
I love - The smell of the soap they give you in the hotel, the smell of Rome, The smell of the water mixed with rubber on splash mountain (i know it sounds crazy but it reminds me of the park lol), the smell of the fog in FOLK, the smell of the christmas shops in Liberty Sqaure, the many smells of Fronteirland, the popcorn in the parks, so many smells lol

Just revisiting the thread as I'm sure I have chimed in and probably even started a topic here or elsewhere regarding Disney smells. Some of my favorites, some gone, some still around:
Rome burning in SSE.
Orange grove in Horizons.
Musty water smell on all the boat rides, especially on POTC.
The "bandaid" smell on the monorails.
Fresh baked goodies (both real and manufactured) on Main Street USA.
Mexican food in the Mexico pavilion and San Angel Inn.
The old musty organic smell of the original version of Universe of Energy.
The smell of old cross ties and railroad timbers at BTMR and Splash Mount.
The fresh open air on the Kilimanjaro Safari ride.
The old dusty musty smell of the Haunted Mansion.
There are so many more...

I think it's the coal tar creosote in the timbers seeping out when it gets hot out there. Love that smell!LAPVLB wrote:BTMR always has some scent about it... I wanna say it's like, hydraulics or something. I can't quite put my finger on it. It's really interesting. Maybe that's the railroad timbers...?

I think the whole point of Stitch is to be as obnoxious as possible. So, what could be more disgusting than a burped up chili cheese dog? If they were going for sweet and pleasant then yeah, popcorn or fresh baked cookies would have been nice. Personally, I would never wait in line for Stitch again anyway. I think Alien Encounter was much better or even Mission to Mars before it.metsofny wrote:What is up with that chili cheese dog smell on Stitch? the smell is too strong it has almost stained the room. I hold my breathe when I know its coming. Besides WDW doesn't even sell chili cheese dogs, how would he have even gotten it from a park quest? I still love the attraction, but why not Popcorn smell? its popular, light smelling and sold in park?

Spiced Cider Wallflowers at Bath & Body Works. Smells EXACTLY like Philharmagic. It was the first thing I thought of when I found it. I don't know if they have other products with this scent or what it would smell like, but the Wallflowers fits it perfectly.luv2cthemouse wrote:I love love love the smell of the "pie" while watching Philharmagic. I miss being able to swim in the lake. Back then the only on-site choices were the Poly, Contemporary, and Ft. Wilderness. We camped because it was cheaper, I remember the first time we went and my Dad had a fit because it was a whole $5/night to camp and he was used to paying only $1.50 at one of our local state parks! Yeah, the lake smell definately!!!knedeau wrote:You guys are going to think I'm absolutely crazy...... But I love the smell of the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay lake. It has a certain earthy smell to it (particular to Disney), that takes me back to when I was a kid (staying at Ft. Wilderness) and you could actually SWIM in the lake (and river country). I know... hehe wierd huh?
Umm...thanks for the memories about funnel cakes! I had forgotten about those and they do smell so great when it's snuggly buggly weather out!sandi wrote:All the smells on Soarin" and the funnel cakes in America--especially on a chilly nite in Dec or Jan!!
