We stayed at the Yacht Club on our last Christmas trip and it was very pretty - maybe second or third only to Wilderness Lodge and/or Grand Floridian. This year we're staying at the Beach Club for our Christmas trip.

Has anyone stayed at the AK Lodge during Christmas? That's one I'd like to see decorated.

My family decided to give Port Orleans French Quarter a try for this holiday season. Thanks for all the recommendations because we'll definitely have to visit all the hotels you mentioned to check out the gorgeous decorations!

Haven't stayed there but we visited (ate at Boma) on our last Christmas trip. It's amazing on any given day. At Christmas it blew me away.

Yes we've stayed that time of year several times at AKL. The tree is amazing and they put an edible village up down by Boma that's amazing. Forget what all else. I'll see if I can find some pictures to post.

I've stayed at both Saratoga Springs and The Boardwalk during the holidays. They were both beautiful and each had a different theme related to their hotel theme.

I usually stay at the Boardwalk. If I'm heading down at Christmas I try to make time to visit as many resorts as possible to see the different decorations. It is well worth it!

Esmeralda, I don't think you can go wrong with your choice. I would suggest though that you take some time and hit all of the resorts. My wife and I do this each time we are down there near Christmas. Make sure you go by the Grand Floridian to see the gingerbread house.

I can only imagine how amazing the WL would be during the holidays. The lobby there on a regular day is extremely impressive with the 7 floor ceiling. That would be my choice for the holidays.

This is one time of the year that I would loooove to stay at a place like the Boardwalk (where we stay when my parents pay for the vacation :D ). However, my sister and I are staying at the All Star Movies resort this Christmastime because we're just humble college students. Oh well, we can always go and visit!

Deluxe Hotels

Post by kschn3671 » Oct Wed 01, 2008 6:07 pm

The deluxe hotels tend to have the better decorations. Contempory and Grand Floridian tend to have the best ones

My personal favorites are the Wilderness Lodge, and the Boardwalk. The gingerbread house at the Boardwalk is incredible!
