Disneyland in August

My wife and I are looking to go to DL for a couple of days the last week in Aug. Are the kids in school then? Is it better to go during the week?

Some schools start their sessions around that time but I would still say go during the weekdays. I can't guarantee anything but I have a feeling quite a bunch of kids would be in school by then.

The last two weeks are generally slower then the first two weeks as well as July. We are going the third week of the month. Also we are DVC members and the points for rooms decrease midway through the month.

The last week in August is an excellent time to go to Disneyland. Yes, the weekends are still a bit crowded, but not bad at all from what I've experienced. I'd say the weekdays are definitely best though. Enjoy the trip!

We have gone a during the last full week in August and find it to be a good time to go. The crowds aren't as heavy as we experienced during our trip in June this year. Just be prepared for hot weather. During our trips the weather during that week tended to be in the mid to upper 90's. Have fun!
