Whats your favorite disney video game?

Post by metsofny » Jun Sat 14, 2008 10:48 pm

I'm a huge fan of kingdom hearts. I was very upset when all the sora figures were sold out in japan in epcot.

Yeah Kingdom Hearts is amazing. I'm not really even into video games (the only other series I've ever played all the way through was the original Spyro the Dragon trilogy). Kingdom Hearts is on the scale of playable movie... the story is fantastic (even if it doesn't always make sense).

Mine had to be the Disney Magical Racing Tour on Sega Dreamcast. The reason I loved this game so much was it took you around WDW and helped you remember all of the fun you have there.

I've played Kingdom Hearts once but I kept forgetting to play it again. It was a fun time playing but I've been lazy lately.

oh wow  , I completely forgot about haunted mansion! It was a cheesy plot (although much better than the movie), but I loved just being able to walk around the mansion as if it were real. They did a really good job designing the layout; making it a completely different mansion, but adding ride and movie tributes throughout along with completely new stuff that could easily have been in the mansion all this time, but not visited by the doombuggies on the ride. I loved the doombuggy going by in the ballroom!

I think it even gave me a few slight nightmares... that one where the grim reaper or whatever is chasing you through the closet really creeped me out. Probably goes back to the days of being a kid and being scared of monsters in the closet. (Although whenever I think of monsters in the closet nowadays I only think of Monsters Inc. )

I'd say it's definitely worth trying to play even if you hate video games, but love the mansion. It brings it to a whole new dimension.

Kingdom hearts was my favorite on PS2. Most Disney games that are based on movies tend to be not so impressive. :(

Rescue Rangers on the NES was awesome and actually one of the most difficult games I've ever played. I always thought it was just because I was a kid and wasn't really that good, but darn that game was really hard. I booted it up with an emulator and it's still really difficult. A lot of comments online also mention the difficulty.
Another great one is of course Adventures in the Magic Kingdom, where you go around the park and try to collect stuff: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adventures ... ic_Kingdom

I used to love the old ones like Who Framed Roger Rabbit, or the Lion King for the old Sega.

I am not much of a video game person, but when I was a kid I would play Aladdin for the Sega Genesis all the time. But, the game I played the most and had the most fun playing was World of Illusion starring :mickey3: and :donald:.

The Game Boy Mickey Mouse games were the best.

Favorite that I have? Donald Duck in Goin' Quackers. I dunno why, because now I can beat the entire thing 100% in the space of an hour and a half. It was just so simple, but I have yet to see an artistic style quite like it. The developers took the whole "no right angles" concept pretty far there.
But, I REALLY want to get a hold of a copy of Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow. Disney needs to re-release their old Genesis titles in some kind of multipack. Badly.

I am way too busy to bother with any video games, however, my kids love the Pirates game.

Disney Magical Racing Tour was my favorite. I don't have time to play my playstation any longer. I'm hoping to find time this winter for my new Wii Fit that I got for myself for Christmas!
