Its a very cool show. Its quickly becoming one of my favorites, and a must do.
I would highly recommend everyone see, and sing along.

I felt the same way before going in Jan this year, but it was truly an amazing show. The music really works once you put it together with the stage show. I would recommend it.metsofny wrote:Thanks to this site I now know why I won't see this. Now I've heard the music, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Personally, I hated it. Someone would have to literally drag me back in there to get me to watch it again. I loved the movie, but most certainly did not like the musical.
That's just my opinion, though. Other people obviously like it.

I'm not a big fan of shows at Disney in general, not a big fan of Nemo in general, and while a couple of the songs I've heard on here sound okay, I will continue avoiding this like the plague.
(At least, I assume, until I'm traveling with people who want to 'see everything' again).

Well there most be a few fans. I think it's way up there on what's getting played here. It seems to be on all the time.

It sort of felt like a re-hashed catoon version of Lion King in less than 60 minutes. The only song that really stood out to me is Big Blue World and then, it's really only the title lyrics of the song that stand out. The rest of the music is not "hummable" to me
.
Mostly I think I was let down because before I saw it, all everyone kept talking about on many Disney sites was how great it was. I guess I got my hopes up too high...?
I don't know, I don't see why it's getting so much praise. I liked Tarzan better. I would have payed to Tarzan. I wouldn't pay to see Nemo.
Nothing against Nemo. I like the movie, story, characters and everything... except the musical. It's not like the all around loathing I have for Stitch.

It is funny how we all have different tastes. Because this is what I disliked the most about the show (the music came in second). Likewise, The Lion King is one of my favorite movies and soundtracks, but I'm not really all that big of a fan of Festival of the Lion King. (Although, I do consider it watchable, as opposed to Nemo.)meticulus9 wrote:the music is ok, with the exception of go with the flow. but the show itself (puppeteering (?), effects, etc) make it worth it

I loved Tarzan. I was very disappointed to see it go, regardless of what they replaced it with.
To me, the problem with the Nemo musical is that they took a movie that has no songs in it and made music up along the way. This doesn't fit the Disney mold for me. They took something out of its element and tried to market it in a way that is contrary to its own style. Why do many love other Disney musical shows? Like Beauty and the Beast, Festival of the Lion King, or Tarzan Rocks? I think it is because they take the story and the music that we already know and love and incorporate it into a captivating stage show. IMHO, Nemo is all kinds of out of place in this sense.
I know people love the Nemo show. And I'm truly glad that they didn't spend that hour (or seventeen hours...or however long it was

I agree that it does lack the sing along factor, it is still a good show though.SWHorn wrote:To me, the problem with the Nemo musical is that they took a movie that has no songs in it and made music up along the way. When I went to see it the show was packed, standing room only.
My last visit to Tarzan there were less than 10 people
