This article was posted on MousePlanet... it's what an interview with walt might have been like today regarding WDW. It sounds just like him. It's an interesting read adn really made me think.

Very interesting, and I believe pretty much in line with how Walt would have acted in the interview. Knowing of Walt's background, I felt his answers were fairly accurate in how he would assess the current WDW. If nothing else, it's an enjoyable read.

Back in Walt's time....people used to take pride in what they did. if it was create a place to eat..they gave it quality that inticed the people to return and enjoy. it was that way with all business. they knew that quality brought the money. thus a good product brought its rightfully deserved monetary reward. Today...its not about quality but about Money. a person doesn't care how they make the money...just as long as they make the money. ironically once they have the money they go in search of quality. We want it now and we want it cheap. Wal-Mart has provided us exactly what we have asked for then we gripe when they are the cause of our old local stores going out of business. Walt would either have stayed true to the quality he started...or sold out...I'd like to believe he would have stuck with his dreams. If your a parent teach your kids about quality and make sure they understand it. While I myself always look for a good deal when going to Disney, I look at the Deluxe Resorts and start to understand why they cost what they do....they provide the quality that we want. in fact disney makes it hard to enjoy other theme parks because of the quality.

ah enough of my pet peeves...sorry for my rant. just keep the quality in mind next time you decide what and where you want to go. Enjoy life...you only get one.

I think Walt would love the way Disney is run today. I have never seen Disney do anything against The family. Accordingly to Walt its about the family.

A fabulous interview that I have to agree with all of 'Walt's' comments. If only we could get an interview with him to hear his real views of what's happening today.
Today...its not about quality but about Money.
It's such a shame that everything today is so materialistic. Go to a Disney park anywhere in the world and just enjoy the magic. After all that is what Walt wanted his guests to do

Interesting read, and an interesting idea. I'm not sure if I'd agree it all rings true, though.
Walt: It could use some work but, on the whole, I like what I see. Honestly, my vision for Epcot was something much different from what we have today. Deep down, I don’t know if I could have done it successfully or if the same or similar problems would have forced me to rethink the plan. I do, however, think I would have pushed on—insisting on keeping to the theme of a place where people could live and work, as well as be entertained. I would have truly enjoyed resolving some of the transportation issues that were there. I still think it would be possible to pull off my original concept of Epcot—maybe more so today than it was in the 1960s and 1970s.
I have a hard time believing Walt wouldn't have been more disappointed than that in what Epcot turned out like. I'm not even sure that makes much sense; the first part seems to contradict the second, doesn't it? I liked the jokes he tossed in though. I may have to adopt 'Panzini' for personal use.
