Epcot Mexico
I know it was a little boring, but The Three Caballeros. Did anyone test that.
It's so very annoying. Donald is great but thats too much. Theres even a empty stage at the end. Dust off the Caballeros robots and use them.

Nope. It doesn't have to be. Which is just as well because it isn't.kcarts wrote:It's got to be better than the Mexican version of It's a Small World that used to there.
I quite liked the old version, I can tolerate the new version.
I miss the shopkeepers at the end trying to sell me stuff and Donald and friends kind of annoyed me.
I believe that the ride should be a showcase trying to tempt me to visit the real Mexico. Something the old version at least tried to do and something the new version doesn't seem to do.

I am a big fan of the movie, I thought it was one of those unknown special movies that got ignored during Walt's era so when I heard that there was going to be a ride in Mexico for them, I was a little excited but the way they did it was disappoited. The video screens get boring as they play the same thing every 10-15 seconds so you go on it twice and you see everything. Animatronics would have been better but there are like none. Get reid of the video screen at the end and have some new animatronics

I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha

I agree with the general populace here. It is cheesy and out of place in the World Showcase. WS is supposed to educate guests about the different countries. The new ride does not educate, if anything it trivializes the Mexican culture.
They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Cheesy is out of place at EPCOT all together. EPCOT is supposed to educate while entertaining. The more they remove the educate part of EPCOT, the less entertaining it is I think...
Ellen, Nemo, Donald Duck, and the other Disney character/movie/actor tie-ins haven't enhanced the rides or the park. I used to love going to EPCOT and not being overloaded with Disney characters or recognizable actors. I really do like Disney and their movies. I like the MK and how the charcters are the backbone of that park. I just don't think EPCOT is the right place for that. It sure wasn't Walt's vision of education through entertainment.

The Three Caballeros is one of Disney's best and most visually imaginative films. Gran Tour Fiesta, on the other hand, is a really generic ride and ultimately a desecration to Mexican culture. El Rio was no masterpiece, but at least it didn't trivialize Mexican culture to the extent Gran Tour Fiesta has, nor bombard audiences with an incredibly inane and formulaic storyline (Donald's missing, help us find him!, Nemo's missing, help us find him!, Jack Sparrow is missing, help us find him!, etc.) Suffice to say, this one needs to be overhauled again.
