I agree with Blackie Puebblo about Pooh (probably to the surprise of many of you  )

It's not a bad ride at all...when all the effects are working (which hasn't been since the year it opened). I'd take the two-tracked Toad ride anyday over Pooh, and I hate taht the only reason they made the replacement was to sell more Pooh merchandise. However, I could easily see a Pooh ride being the opening day attraction in that spot, just as much as Toad.

The playground is a different story.

Desperately needs an E-ticket 20K replacement.

This area has all the makings of an ideal Disney park setting: rides and theming friendly to all ages (yes, even adults) with a mystical, magical element that reminds me of my childhood. :mickey:

Gave it a 4, b/c I can't quite spend an entire day there - not quite enough to do. Multiple partial-day visits during each trip is pretty typical, though. :)

I gave it a 3 even though I'm a 57 year old grandpa. When my wife and I visit without children, we still want to ride the carousel, Philharmagic, Small world, and especially the teacups. When I took my granddaughters, though, I saw fantasyland in a different light. They loved being there. I didn't take them on the dark rides because they don't like the dark. But, they loved the teacups and enjoyed eating at Pinocchio's.
I'd really love to see a big e-ticket ride. The playground could be taken out and something better put in its place.

I'd love to see a movie that uses all of the fantasy worlds and mixes them together. like a princess adventure, where Belle uses her knowledge, Ariel calls on the sea creatures for help (aquaman would be jealous), Esmarelda uses her contacts with the Gypsies etc. and they work together to solve or defeat a master villain...(a new villian!) then incorporate a ride into the extra area that 20k has left. or we could just build a dwarves wild mine ride which could be a coaster.

I gave it a "4" although a "3" might be more accurate. I love Philharmagic, IASM, Peter Pan and Snow White. This little area is jam packed with attractions and is always crowded with parents and their little "princesses". An excellent spot for the kiddies and apparently for the older kids as well, like me! Not my favorite but classic Disney for sure so it must be respected for what it is.

An easy 5. The Castle is IT in my book. The surrounding gardens are so beautiful and I love Cindy's fountain. I love PPF, SW, and Snow White. PhilharMagic is great, but I loved the Lion King when it was there, too. Winnie the Pooh is tolerable, but I probably would like it more if it didn't replace Mr. Toad --- sad, sad, sad!!! I miss 20,000 Leagues immensely and find Ariel's Grotto a waste of space, but necessary for Ariel and her legion of fans. Mad Tea Party is great, but not for me. ugh. Glad my daughters have pretty much outgrown Dumbo (I hate standing in that line!!!).

The food in the morning is great --- you can't beat breakfast with Cindy & friends in the Castle. I have the best magic-filled memories of my daughters with the princesses. Shopping here is awesome, especially if you like the Disney fairy tales and classics. Waking Tink up is the best!!! The Sword in the Stone is great, as is Belle's Storytime.

The place is packed with Hidden Mickeys, too. LOVE IT!!

I really do enjoy Fantasyland bc it takes me to the heart of Walt, but I don't think I could spend hours in that one section. I would start needing my bottle and diaper if I did.

I do like Fantasyland. Cinderella's carousel makes a definitive statement as you go into the land, and I think all the rides fit.

But I think it's a little lopsided with Pooh Playful Spot. On one side of the street you have rides, but Pooh's just leaves a void. It kind of takes away from a seamless transition into Toon Town.

A solid 4; no 5 because of the lack of a real E-ticket (in my opinion, anyway). I have a soft spot for the carousel and the teacups in particular, but I don't have any real argument with any of the other attractions there. I understand the concept behind building the Thotful Spot, though I think it would have been better suited to ToonTown. Likewise, that space could have been better used for something E-ride-ish to replace the subs (if replacing the subs was indeed necessary... *grumblegrumble*) I think they're missing the boat (ha ha pun) on having the Ariel thing as just a meet and greet area. Little Mermaid stuff (even just the movie story) could easily support an E Ticket water ride. See also: what they're going to build in DCA.

A while back I read a site (something linked off of these boards actually, but I didn't bookmark it and have no idea where it was posted...) that was talking about 'original' ideas for the MK's Fantasyland, and it mentioned the Toad in WDW's MK was supposed to be an Ichabod Crane/Headless Horseman ride. I kinda wish they'd build that. Haven't been able to get the idea out of my head since then. Of course then I would have been that much more annoyed when they knocked it down for Pooh.

I adore Fantasyland! I never got to visit WDW as a child and I'm glad to say that the childhood magic has never left me.

I made my first visit at 39 and can vivdly remember gasping at my first sight of the Castle. Crying unashamedly when my 2 year old did her first meet and greet with Snow White and Aurora. Watched my son as he was excitedly trying to cach the 3D images in Philharmagic. FANTANSTIC!

I watched the openng of WDW on my Dad's lap in 1971 on the BBC news and vowed one day I'd visit, now I can't stop going!

Fantasyland is exactly what it is meant to be a land full of fun and fantasy! I love the look of the land especially the buildings. I really enjoy the carousel and Disney Philharmagic is one of my MUST dos always and if the line isn't a million years long I really enjoy Peter Pan. It's a shame I never got to experience Mr. Toad's Wild Ride I bet I would have loved it too LOL

I gave it a 2. It can be fun, but since my DS's have become teenagers we spend less time in fantasyland. On some trips we don't even go on anything in fantasyland. Now if Disney had an "E" ticket in fantasyland it would be different. The ques are always to long and you have to deal with the stroller brigade.
