Question about the Subsonic Radio commercial music

I've been hearing them on the requests channel, at least. It was kinda funny; I'd forgotten about them entirely before I heard one a few days ago.

I always wondered what the story was behind the voices/people doing them? I assume it's people Sub knows.. family members maybe?

there have been a few people who have done them. Sub himself have done most of them, and another user's daughter doing a couple. I'll see if I can find the post that has the author...

Never heard them before today, I've been listening to background mostly.
I like them.

Do they play havoc with the timing on the requests stream or are they all so short they don't make much of a diff?

Except when they start skipping, then they get a little long winded (and annoying). I had one skip the other day, I think it skipped 4 times.

They have started playing on the request stream again... They got "lost" during some server maintenance.

I heard one for the first time today. It's funny because in my line of work (I'm a composer) I often write jingles so i end up listening to a lot of them yet I never noticed that SR didn't have any.

I try and keep these things to a minimum. It looks like I went overboard and removed them completely.

Whilst I love these adverts, every time one comes on it is repeated at least twice (one after another). This afternoon (15:13 GMT) I heard the same advert ("chat with other listeners..") three times one after another. Any ideas why?

I have the ads being put in every 30 minutes. If there's a track longer than 30 minutes, it'll put them in two in a row (perhaps 3). It's due to my lame scripting skills and shouldn't happen that much.
