From MousePlanet's WDW update:

"The former 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea lagoon area across from The Many Adventures of Winnie–the–Pooh attraction is not going to open as a dedicated meet–and–greet (although there is the possibility of character greetings there as well). The area will be a children's play area featuring slides, climbing structures and interactive pop-jet fountains. The area will be called “Pooh's Playful Spot,” and will open around September."

Not exactly a worthy replacement for Captain Nemo's subs, in my opinion!

In the new Journey Into Imagination, doesn't Figment say something like "imagination works best when it's set free!"???

Seems like the Imagineers (or the accountants) should have kept a little bit locked away somewhere...

I was hoping for at least a Nemo-themed sub ride! It's the perfect setting. What a shame... :?

Yeah that stinks... that was a huge area...

They really should have used that area better. Maybe its only a temporary solution... :?

OK, so basically there just extending the toon town area, what a waste, they could have added another ride or indoor attraction. maybe something from CA. or Euro dis.

Yeah - what a waste of space and creativity! That is what you get for being cheap...

It's very, very sad... I wish they could have kept the lagoon. It was so picturesque and anchored that part of the park so well. I'm scared about what I'll find in the back of Fantasyland when I return to WDW.

If they were just extending it.. why couldn't they add a new ride. Like the Roger Rabbit ride they have in DL????

Doesn't Disney not own Roger Rabbit anymore? Isn't that why they changed Roger who was originally in the parade to the Genie?
