Hi again folks. I don't know why I haven't replied to this before, but I have to say that my favorite has to be Haunted Mansion.
While I love Pirates for it's 'epic' nature and great details, not to mention the cool drops, I pretty much prefer HM for...well the same reasons, minus the drops.
I guess it's just the way that HM really does 'engross' you with its somber style and eerie atmosphere. Plus, it's always great when a first-timer doesn't notice the
effects until they're right in front of them.
Or it could be that the chances of me being in a haunted house at some point is
greater than me being a pirate anytime soon
.
Anyway, until later, peace.

I prefer PotC for the water aspect. And it seems to me that you move at a slower speed through the ride, which gives you a better opportunity to take it all in.
But mostly, it's just floaty and relaxing. I like the waves that come from behind and nudge your boat forward a little.
The Mansion has that forced viewpoint thing and the back of the buggy obscures your vision, though it it's pretty cool when the ride turns you backward as you descend. I can't remember at what point in the ride that occurs.

I never thought about it that way. Yes, as we argued in chat that one day, we agreed that Pirates is just packed with detail. The vastness of it is what brings me back every visit.
