Actually most people I know do not like either one. I am a huge star wars fan, and most of my friends make fun of me because of it. Most females I am friends with do't liek either one, but they have all done star tours adn the stunt show and liked it. Time will tell if this attraction makes the grade.
Boy, it's the opposite where I come from. I don't like Star Wars, and everyone else loves it! (I like Indy though, and so does everyone I know!)
As for American Idol, I want a puking smiley too!

Maybe this will have to do for now...

I've never been an Idol fan so this does nothing for me. However, I know lots of people love it so it could be fun for them!

To be honest, I am sooooo sick of American Idol, I wish it would end already!
Exactly! And American Idol is a further depressing manipulation of the good sense that television-entertainment used to have. What a tragedy for Disney to go down this route.

I would have to agree...this show is getting soooooooooooooo old! I wish Disney could have though of something better to bring over to the parks.

I get so tired of hearing people talking about it. I never liked the show and frankly don't see what the appeal is. It's really popular though so it will probably go on and on and on...

Amen! And people throw out names of people from the show in regular conversation like they are Jesus or the President and everyone knows who they are talking about. Bah.

At lunch yesterday my wife and I overheard a big table of people talking about getting together for the finals and before that having a pre-finals party. Good grief...this show is so much hype and I would rather have a spider lay an egg case in my ear than have to listen to Paula and Ryan.

I don't care for American Idol and it will not be a stop for me. I give it a few years and then it will lose its apeal. I can't fault WDW though, people love the show! But I agree w/another posting, who would want to waste a day doing that?

This does not appeal to me. I do not feel that Idol has a place in WDW and I also agree that it is a waste of Disney finances.

Maybe Disney will use some of these auditions to recruit possible cast members for their own shows?

Well, I am in agreement that Idol shouldn't have a place in WDW, but can someone remind me what attractiosn have been in this place over the years? I know most recently it was Millionaire, but for the life of me drawing a blank on the previous ones......maybe because I don't think any of them had any appeal for me.
My point here is, I think this space has always been an interactive and current TV themed attraction so then Idol is pretty on-track with that, so maybe we should talk about the whole theme this space has been and should it be re-thought - anyone have any suggestions?

I'm not a big Idol watcher. So this has no appeal to me. I have a hard time imagining people wanting to do this at a theme park. But, if that's want people want to do, more power to them. Idol is a big deal. So, this could be popular. If so, great! Shorter lines for the things I actually want to do.
I definitely have to agree. You won't ever find me at that attraction, but if it frees up some of the rides that I either miss or can only ride once in a day (because of the long lines), then great. Otherwise, it's just a continuation of Disney's soiree into the "pop culture" along with Hannah Montana, the Jonas Brothers...you get the picture.

Actually, Toy Story Mania is located where Millionaire used to be...this one I believe will be located in one of the old Soundstages?
No draw for me on this one, but I'll be happy if it decreases the line for TSM!
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

Oh pleeeaaassseee. Give me a break! I really don't understand why anyone would spend so much time out of their day at a Disney park to see what???? It's not a movie attraction, not a Disney character attraction, not a thrill ride...I mean what is the purpose? Like someone said, if I want to see some average person sing in a microphone, I'll go to a bar. This is definitely an attraction I won't even bother to see.
