Disneyland Fireworks

Post by MintJulepRoo » Apr Tue 15, 2008 1:03 am

The Disneyland fireworks are something I look forward to most when I go to Disneyland. I just saw the "Remember, Dreams Come True" display and I was floored. I loved seeing fireworks in sync with my favorite ride music. I hope this show stays around for awhile.

What other fireworks shows are amazing like this one?

I would have to say that "Remember, Dreams Come True" is THE best fireworks show I have seen. I have seen the shows at WDW, including Illuminations which people rave about and I don't think those are as good as "Remember...". There's nothing like standing in the hub and hearing your favorite attractions and seeing fireworks ALL around you. Come on, the fireworks at the part from HM where you here "Is this haunted room actually stretching?" Simply fantastic.

I've never seen this one, unfortunately. But I LOVE the soundtrack to it, regardless. It's one of my fave tracks.

Sadly, when we went to DL in 2005, my youngest and I missed the fireworks!!! Yet another reason why we need to go back! :)

I saw Illuminations in 2006 and I have to say it was meh. I LOVE the music but honestly the show was just meh. Maybe I need to see it more to get used to it but I was REALLY impressed with the Remember....Dreams Come True. Just the timing and the thought that went into it is just fantastic. I swear that the fireworks in WDW are still set off by hand sometimes, that is not saying that someone is in the pit lighting fuses, just that someone is actually pressing the buttons rather than a computer doing it.

Agreed. I'd have to say that this is almost incontrovertible, especially if you take it to literally mean "fireworks show"Illuminations, Fantasmic and the like all have at least some other media included to add to the show.
I voted Remember... in the other poll about "Best Nighttime Entertainment" becuase it is by far the best show I have seen at any park. It's really amazing how wonderful a job they did representing every part of the park, and a lot of rides from its past.
My wife and I loved Remember so much that we used it as an overarching theme on our wedding cd we handed out as favors. I broke it into 5 sections and had it play throughout the cd as little intermissions :)

When I worked at the Magic Kingdom in Florida, for the New Years Eve fireworks, they set them off completely sourounding the entire park from all directiosn. It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. It brought tears to my eyes.

Remember dreams come true is by far the best. However, I have a soft spot for all of the fireworks shows that I have seen in all of the Disney parks. I love the way they sync the music to the fireworks, and the way that it all seems to blend flawlessly. Fireworks are one of the disney shows that always leave in awe. - blue

I agree with all the above comments - this is by far the best fireworks show I've ever seen. I can't wait to go back to Disneyland to see them again. I do think WDW is due for an update though.
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

It's a great show all the way through, but I most love how the last round of fireworks explode and echo off into the distance just after the music ends. :mickey:

Well, that and hearing the original "Main Street Electrical Parade" announcement.

That's the one that always gets me. Some of my best memories growing up are sitting at the end of main street near the train station waiting for the Electrical Parade to start. Everytime I hear that music I get all emotional like a little girly man (read: Hanz and Franz)
