We just bought it, but we won't get a chance to use it until we visit in the summer. I'm hoping for some feedback too.

you need to ask about ordering the AP voucher online. As I recall the vouchers need to be used within like 60 days of being delivered.

As for the DDE you can call with your voucher number and they can issue it against the voucher. Order the week before you leave, it use to be you had to goto Guest Relations at Epcot to pick up a temp card, but I'm told that you can now use any Guest Relations to get it.

As for experiences, I'm not sure what you are looking for here. It's a great program if you "eat" at Disney. If you just grab food in the park or food from publix it's not worth it. But if you like to have nice sit down 2 hour meals you get 20% off (which means you have to spend about $325 to break-even, which we have done in single meals.) You only need one card for up to 10 people (including the card holder.)

One thing to note you get 20% off at counter service if you are some place that doesn't have table service (which mean AK, PopC, and the All-*'s.)

The 20% also includes adult beverages (which can help you get to your break-even quickly.)

We used DDE on our trips in 2005 and 2006. We were able to use it at the Pop Century counter and quite a few restaurants. You should be able to find a listing of all the places it's accepted at online (I think we got a listing from mousesavers).

We made good use of it...partially because we like booze  Seriously though, we had no problems using it.

You should be able to get Disney Dining Experience just by calling the number for it. I don't remember if we already had our vouchers in hand when we called. What I do remember is that we did NOT have active AP's. It took a few weeks for our DDE card to arrive, but that was 2005 and things may have changed. You may want to check what Disney and other more recent guests are saying for turnaround time on it.

Dining Experience and Annual Pass

Post by DDDoherty » Apr Sat 26, 2008 9:55 am

My husband and I use the Dining Experience card and get the annual pass. hen we go to Disneyworld over the summers we stay 4 to 6 weeks. We are teachers and have the summers off. We also wn Disney Vacation club points and that makes the longer stays less expensive.

The dining Experience works well for us. We like to have wine with dinner and the dining experience will take the discount off of the alcohol as well. I think the discount is 20%. Also, we usually have breakfast in the room and then have a late lunch/early dinner. The meal plan doesn't pay in that case. The dining experience works much better for that.

When we get our annual passes each year, we order them but ask that the passes be kept at a "will call" window at Disneyworld. We pick them up at the various windows around Disney World. The clock starts ticking then. We have had years when we still have a week or two left on our old passes then we purchase the next year's pass when the old one expires.

We're big fans of DDE - the most we saved in one year (three trips) was just over $500. Worth it if you're going to be using your AP frequently.

This is good news as my husband and I will be getting one this year with our annual pass. We plan on having a sit-down meal each day, so this should be a good deal for us! :D
