Dinosaur in AK..Ouch!
I wanted to find out if anyone else has a hard time with their bodies after riding Dinosaur in AK. I think that it's one of the most "aggressive" rides in Disney. When you're on it and your bottom keeps lifting from the seat or you start to feel the very unnatural swaying movements of you head, it just makes my body feel like I've been in one of those bins that's been thrown over Niagara Falls. Does anyone else feel this way or have a ride that makes their bodies hurt after riding?

Same here, I've never really had a problem wih it (I actually like it's out-of-control feel, but I wish there was more "jungle" to look at rather than just darkness. The darkness makes it worse for some of my family members. On top of the rough ride, they also get nauseous not being able to tell which direction the car is going). I can see why people might have problems with it. A few times at the part where the Pteradactl is ("incoming!"), I've felt my body get yanked down the slope in seperate pieces.
Has anyone ridden both Indy and CTE? I know they're both the same system and track layout (I found some blueprints floating around the internet a while ago), but is Indy as rough?

I've never had a problem with it myself (I do catch air on some of the 'bumps', but I like that
), but I remember riding with my mom one year and she would not agree with me.
It is a pretty jerky ride. I would think if you had back/neck problems you'd want to avoid it (though I also suspect the signs before the ride tell you that). That said, my mom doesn't have back or neck problems and she still found it too rough to be enjoyable.
The only ride I think causes linger pain for me is the left side of Space Mountain (at WDW). It has a bump that, if you're seated at the back of the 2nd car, punches you in the stomach pretty good. Doesn't stop me from going on it though.

I finally got to ride Dinosaur this year, and I was prepared for the worst. I had read so many things on message boards that I was worried that I would get motion sickness or injure my back from getting bounced around.
My experience was that it was no where near as bad as I expected. Sure, it was bumpy. But nothing like what I was expecting. I would ride it again in a heartbeat.

You're right I always forget about that until I actually get on it. I hate that loud static blast type noise near the end of the first time travel sequence right before that twinkling starry sound... WHAT IS IT? It's loud and unnecessary.mostly it was (at least, at the time) eardrum-piercingly loud.
lol... I like the way I describe sounds...

I had the same problem with it when I rode it for the first time in Dec 06. Now I know for future.......bring earplugs. Come to think of it I haven't had too many problems with loud noises on rides.kronk's angel wrote:I thought it was rough, but mostly it was (at least, at the time) eardrum-piercingly loud.
