I would say Wilderness Lodge. It is in a nice quiet location that helps you unwind after a busy day in the parks. You are able to take a boat to MK or a bus. You also have some great restaurants and I found the castmembers to be really nice in this resort.

ALK RULZ! Best overall theme, complete imersion of experience, best dining options, huge pool and the savanna view from your room!

That said - we typically find ourselves staying at Yacht or Beach Club these days because the location is amazing. We've been fortunate to stay at every Deluxe with the exception of BWI. We've also stayed at all moderates except POFQ.

I've only been to 2 of them so far. AKL and Coronado Springs

Of the two, my vote goes to AKL.

We have stayed at about every resort on property except for the value resorts. (One stay at an All Star resort will last me a lifetime.) Polynesian is great because of its location to the MK. Yacht and Beach would be great if they had a decent food court or fast food option. AKL is very unique except that you tend to feel isolated from everything that you came to do and see. Which of our favorites leaves the Wilderness Lodge. You just can't beat it for overall atmosphere. Try the walk through the woods along the lake over to Fort Wilderness for an early breakfast at the Trails End.

I had a tough time deciding between the Poly and WL, but in the end, WL won out. Although, all of that may change come September when we get to stay at the Contemporary.

I would PREFER the Boardwalk. Close to Epcot, lots of activities, great pool/slide. I also loved the Wilderness Lodge when we stayed there. Bunkbeds are a big plus for the kids. BUT, the next trip planned for Sept 08 the budget is dictating POP Century or the All-Stars. Still fun and since we don't plan on spending many days at the hotel it will be fine.

I always enjoyed Fort Wilderness when I was a kid. Taking the small shuttle boats across Bay Lake to the Contemporary before boarding the monorail to the Magic Kingdom was always a fun trip! There are so many choices these days. haha. They all carry special memories to those who stay at them I'm sure. After all, it's Disney.

We try to look at different resorts every time we go "home".

I voted for the Dolphin not because of the decor (ugly) or the food choices (limited), but for one very important reason (especially for those of us from the West Coast who are jet lagged) - the Swan and Dolphin are Westin hotels, and they have awesome beds and pillows. We're talking memory foam, down pillows, featherbeds, etc. You could put me in a room that looks like it walked of the set of "Three's Company," and if it has a good bed in which to sleep, I'm good.

To little ol' me this is an unfair question. Which one do I prefer? I prefer a couple good ones, but I can only ever afford the Allstars and Pop Century. So I picked Pop. But if I could afford it I would prefer a nicer resort. Ah well.

Wow... a lot of my family and friends would pick Coronado in this poll (crazy  ) and I personally feel it's one of the poorest designed (not in terms of architecture, but for guest use). I'm glad to see that there's other people who would choose even Pop and All Stars before Coronado.

Although Coronado does have the best bus system... never more than a five minute wait. :)
