I really like the POFQ Resort. It's very quaint and picturesque. The boat ride to Downtown Disney is enviable. If there's a drawback, there's no full-service restaurant here. You'll need to walk up to the Riverside for that.

Lobby music is also very good. (Note: look at the musical notes above the check-in windows. It's the sheet music for "When the Saint's Come Marching In." -- I think!

French Quarter is my favourite moderate resort, after Caribbean Beach. The only things I don't like about it are the food court (just not to my liking) and the bus service (shouldn't share a bus with Riverside; it's too crowded). The grounds are beautiful and it's a nice scenic walk to Riverside.

I stayed at the Port Orleans two or three times I can't remember exactly. But I've stayed before it became the French Quarter and after. I really like it. the buses however see to take an eternity though. The pool is really fun and the food is good. I don't have many complaints about the place. I just remember the buses took a while. I love the boat ride you can take too that is really fun.

port orleans french quarter is a great resort. One of the best features is the boat to Downtown Disney! You are also allowed to use the facilities at Riverside aswell, e.g. the pools, etc. I would suggest to take a horse-drawn carriage ride!
The rooms are nicely appointed, we were in building 2 which was by the main pool. Noise was not a problem at all. The resort is quite small so there are no buildings too far out of the way, in my opinion. Hope you have a great time! :D
Por favor, mantenganse alejado de las puertas!

This is my favorite moderate resort. It is small, intimate, everything is close, they have great Mousekeeping and the bus service is great. I highly recommend it.

Stayed at POFQ for a day in August before the College Program. Liked the atmosphere, the price, the size, the rooms and the view of the river. I highly recommand it.
I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha

I've stayed at the French Quarter and the rooms have intricate details that give you the feel of early 1900s. The faucets in the sink are golden and in the style of that era. I mention that to show how even the minor details are placed to emmerce (I blank out on how to spell that word), in the ambience of that time. The colors are rich and have an elegant style about it. If you go when it's warm, there are a lot of plants around the building which create a lot of humidity and will cause your camera lenses to fog immediately when you walk out of the room. So, if you want to take pictures outside of the rooms, do it when returning to the rooms. Seems silly I know, but believe me it's frustrating if you like to take pictures.

The only downside of the French Quarter is when riding the buses, the next stop is Riverside and it is so large that they have 4 bus stops there and I've often been on the bus for 45 minutes at Riverside waiting for boarding at those stops.

My mom has stayed there and I have been hearing really good things about it. It's funny but I hear more good things about this resort than any of the other moderates.
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

I've never had a bus problem at POFQ. It's true that it makes 4 stops at POR, but they go pretty quick and, as others have pointed out, once the bus is full, they skip the rest of the POR stops. The other bonus is that POFQ is the first stop after returning from the parks. :)
